Highly recommend! We stayed at the accommodation after the Samaria Gorge and we wished to be able to stay longer. The place is secluded, very quiet and clean. You get free sun beds and beach towels as well. The owners are super friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was 10/10!

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand abseits von Massentourismus. Unglaublich nette Gastgeberfamilie: hat uns von der Fähre abgeholt, wieder zur Fähre gebracht, zum Schluchteingang gefahren ( war sehr heiß), leckeres Abendessen mit Meerblick serviert. Kajaks stehen zur Erkundung der Bucht zur Verfügung. Wir haben unsere 2 Tage dort genossen.

Die Einrichtung recht einfach, war aber für uns und für den Preis voll ok.

Nous louons des appartements avec booking depuis plus de 10 ans a raison de plus d'une centaine d'hôtels loués. Cest la première fois que nous sommes déçus à ce point surtout en Créte. Mauvaise communication la chambre qui est actuellement à 41 euros pour 3 personnes nous a été facturé 10 euros de plus à payé en cash sur place, nous avions payé via booking la totalité de notre séjour soit 85 euros pour 2 nuits. On nous réclame en arrivant de payer 20 euros de plus. La propreté des chambres et du matériel cassé laisse à désirer. Cette établissement ne loue pas l'appartement que nous avions réservé 2 chambres. Mais une pièce de vie avec 1 lit et 1chambre. Les propriétaires le jour de notre départ annonce à booking un no show en stipulant que nous devons être facturés de frais d'annulation pour non présentation à notre réservation. Pour que nous ne puissions pas laisser de commentaires. C'est vraiment pas très honnête tout cela... franchement à fuir.. toiles d'araignée sur les lampes, branchement fils électriques avec du Scotch, pied du lavabo cassé, dangereux avec enfant en bas âge. Climatisation qui tient avec de la ficelle ventilateur inutilisable car poussiéreux. Placards de la cuisine très sales. Bouilloire inutilisable car stockée avec une lampe à pétrole. Enfin pour moins cher sur Agia Roumeli il y a d'autres hôtels beaucoup mieux. Nous ne reviendrons pas et ne recommandons pas cet établissement. Nous vous recommandons Pachnes où Faragi taverne qui sont eux fantastiques.

Un super accueil. Un cadre idyllique. Seul au bout du monde ...... Un endroit oú on voudrait passer plus de temps.

Die Familie, die das Hotel führt, ist extrem hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das war wirklich eine Freude! Das Essen war für den Preis absolut gut. Auch die Zimmer - immer unter Anbetracht des Preis-Leistung-Verhältnisses einwandfrei. Die Lage ist toll. Ausserhalb und weg vom Touristentrubel mit eigenem kl. Strandabschnitt. Dort gab es für uns kostenlos Kayaks und Trettbotte. Gerade die Kayaktour war ein Highlight! Wir waren für einen kurzen Aufenthalt dort um die Schlucht vor dem Ansturm der Massen zu sehen. Das hat perfekt funktioniert. Die Schlucht hat uns enttäuscht, der Aufenthalt im Hotel positiv überrascht. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir hatten schon saubere Unterkünfte auch wenn es völlig in Ordnung war!

Words can't do justice to this place. One of the most beautiful spots on earth, with a pleasant short walk to the village and only 40 minutes walk to Southern entrance to Samaria gorge. Lovely hosts, very basic but clean & comfortable rooms, amazing views from balcony, and last but not least the best food I have had in Crete.

La propreté du logement, de la salle de bains et des draps étaient très passables. La climatisation ne fonctionne que dans une seule pièce (l'espace de séjour), l'autre pièce (la chambre) n'a qu'un ventilateur.

Loved that it was away from the main village, the room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony faced the sea, it was simple but very nice. Loved that it had access to a little cove right in front. All the staff were kind and helpful,

Beautiful location, the starry skies were amazing.

One of the hosts seemed a little reluctant and took some warming up. The food was OK, not brilliant, it was a shame as the location is so beautiful so much more can be made of this hotel but we enjoyed our 1 night there as the view was amazing

The lights on the road between the hotel and the village were too bright, in a place like Agia Roumeli which otherwise is one of the darkest places in Europe which would be perfect for seeing the stars and the Milky way. But this is really not something that the hotel can do about, just worth mentioning. Some of the sunbeds were broken.

Location was stunning with an amazing view right outside your window! Warm, welcoming Greek family & staff & amazing homecooked Greek food. Beach in front of property with free sun beds ,umbrellas, kayak, canoes & pedaloos! Pure relaxation, 'Greek family style'. Thank you "Sweet Corner", from the bottom of our hearts.

Nothing...but with no fault of the owners...prepare well for Mosquitos! Also, possibly not suitable for those with significant mobility issues as all accommodation is upstairs and access to the beach is from a height.

Location and views

The location was outstanding. Away from the main tourist spaces. Magnificent sea and mountain views from the tree-covered terrace, and very close to a small uncrowded beach. But perhaps best of all were the hosts/staff. The owner Yiorgos was exceptional - kind, generous and deeply human - but the whole team made one feel entirely at home. Sun-loungers and umbrellas provided (for free) on the beach was a big plus.

The small individual balcony had a sea view but was too hot to sit on (at least in the height of summer). Having an umbrella there might have helped.

Very quite place with nice beach and free kayaks. The apartment is very basic but nice and has a great view. The hosts are really nice and welcoming, taking care for everything you need. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Great atmosphere.

We have loved everything, from the warm welcome of our guests to the amazing view of the sea, from the hearty meals of the taverna to the the incomparable peace and quiet. We left a piece of our heart there.

I stayed here with my son after walking down the Samaria gorge from Omalos and before walking on along the E4 path. The place is a few hundred metres west of the town. As others have mentioned you're away from the gorge crowds (which actually disappear when the boat goes, making Agia Roumelli a very quiet, pleasant little town). We only stayed one night, although I wish we'd stayed longer. The staff were very friendly, the food good. We got a triple room which was very generously proportioned and had cooking facilities. There's a beach very close by. If I ever become fugitive from justice, this might be where you'll find me.

It was cozy. Private beach and supee cool view to ocean. Breakfast was really good also

Nice view of the sea, and quiet beach.

The room smelled of bleach in the beginning and then it washed out and a bad smell of wet dog was coming from the first room of the apartment. I also did not like that they automatically charged us with 9 euros more than prince on booking.
