A thoroughly pleasant getaway spot with comfortable beds, killer views and parking included. Would not hesitate to rent this property again in the future. It's a real gem! Jean Colburn, the Property Manager is First Class in every respect. Our group of 4 older adults loved this place!

The view says it all. The condo location was great with an excellent view. The only suggestions would be to update kitchen items and towels as well as provide newer bedding and include a few extra blankets. Cushions on the furniture could use an update and for example on updating kitchen items there was one real wine glass instead of a set.the condo was clean however there was a water bottle under the master bed and the patch work in the master bath needs to be improved, not a good look. Lastly, our contact person was very friendly and helpful.

Our family of 5 stayed 3 nights in this suite at the Ilikai and had a wonderful time, lots of room for 3 teens. The check in and checkout were super easy, property Manager Jean was helpful and friendly, although we had no problems to report! Friday Fireworks were perfect from the balcony, coffee from Aroma on the main floor was problem with the elevators while we were there I was worried from other reviews, but all was good. The parade is a tight squeeze, but that can’t be helped. The beach is about 3 minutes from the lobby, the HHV is 2 minutes away and there are lots of restaurants there. For kids, etc. we had a great time and definitely stay here again!

Our three days at this property started off well with flawless check in process and great communication from the property manager. The view of the Friday night fireworks has to be better than any other location in Waikiki. It was amazing. Also amazing were the views of the ocean and beach from the condo with windows and balconies all around. And you cannot beat this location in Waikiki. The condo itself was clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. I easily give this a perfect rating.

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2024. Our 12 & 15 year old kids shared the twin bedroom unit with adjoining bathroom. Shower handle was broken but our property manager, Jean, had it fixed same day we notified him. Condo was spacious & very clean. Had everything we needed. Beds were extremely firm though. Make sure you bring water shoes if you want to swim in the beach as it's very rocky. Can easily walk to Waikiki if up to it.

Overall experience was fantastic from checkin to check out. However the Ilikai building is aged and shows that in some area such as elevators. Unfortunately, some shops and restaurant were affected negatively by the power outage that was happened the day before our arrival. The view from our room was the best we have seen. We loved the separate lanai out of two bed rooms. I just noticed a few item that need to be looked into: the wheel of dish washer rack and the towel hanger in the bathroom.This is our second experience with Captain Cook Resorts. We have recommended you to our family and friends. We will be back again!Thank you very much.

The condo and location were great! I wasn't impressed with the check in process. I contacted our property manager and had to leave a message regarding our door code and parking information. That was around 3 PM. I didn't hear back from them (via text) until 11:10 pm with the information.

We only stayed one day because there was no cold or hot water the first day! We had our daughter and husband coming that day and they needed showers after a long flight. The water tank was fixed later that day. Captain Cook's relocated us the Waikiki Towers. This unit was beautiful...gorgeous view!

Twin Bedrm: A/C needed 2ea batteries, Jean brought 4ea and we replaced. Left 2ea for Jean.Bathrm with single basin: 1 overhead light out. We found halogen replacement above refrig cabinet. Toto washlet wand was FILTHY(we had to clean)and made Jean aware to tell cleaning people to clean.Kitchen: Stove Air fan not working. 3 lights out. Jean said On Order. Dishwasher top loading tray needs repairs as when you pull top tray out(falls down). Jean aware to have repaired.Diningrm: 4 ea Dining chair seat cushions need to be cleaned, dirty spots everywhere. Made Jean aware to have cleaned.Livingrm: Sliding door stuck and hard to open. Jean came and opened and returned to WD-40; then ok.Master bedrm: Sliding door stuck(same problem). Jean returned and WD-40; then no problem. Bureau drawers(2 top)slide out by themselves(off balance). Made Jean aware.Master bathrm: Towel rack fell off(Jean had repairman repaired it back to wall). 1 overhead light out, we found lightbulb above refrig cabinet and replaced. Toto washlet cleaning wand was FILTHY(we had to clean). Made Jean aware of problem for cleaning people. Shower doors not in slide tray so when you open sliding door, it flops open. Need to be repaired. Jean aware of issue.Other than the above problems, Jean Colburn did an outstanding job to our requests immediately! We had a great time in spite of the above issues!

This condo is just as lovely in person as it is in the photos. This was a perfect configuration for us - our two young adult daughters shared the room with two twin beds. They liked that they had their own lanai, as this corner unit has them on two sides! You can see the launch spot for the Hilton's Friday Fireworks from this unit, although we went down into the mass of people for the experience. This unit is walkable to many shops and restaurants, but you'll want a car to visit other areas. Our only issue was that the management company seemed to have our stay dates confused - at least once that we are aware of they enterd the unit without notice. One of our girls was in the shower!, but luckily someone else was there too so they left right away. I can't say if they are quickly responsive to issues or not, as I didnt have any - but the only message I ever got was the entry procedures one. No replies to other comments I sent as we checked in or out.

This property is impressive and even nicer in person than the pictures capture. Very spacious unit for our family of four! We loved having coffee each morning on the lanai. The beach is literally right outside the door, the Ilikai is by far the nicest area of Waikiki Beach. Paul was so helpful in the check-in and settling in process. We could not have had a better stay! This was our first time in Hawaii, and certainly won’t be our last. Thank you to Paul and Captain Cook for a memorable stay!

Watched the boats leaving the harbor, surf boarders out on the waves, the small lagoon full of families, incredible sunsets, sometimes all at the same time. It was hard to leave the lanai terrace and go sightseeing, because we had one the best views in all Oahu right in front of us. The condo is immaculate, the owners/managers communicated well. It was everything I could have asked for. Highly recommend.

Needed a place to stay a few days before a 7 day Hawaiian cruise. Apartment was perfect for my family of 6. Incredible views, well appointed with easy beach access. Restaurants, ice cream shop and surf shop all in the lobby. The whole family loved it.

We were on the go most of the time, but our favorite time in the condo were the early morning hours where the four of us sipped our tea and coffee and enjoyed the beautiful views from this lovely condo. Outstanding! One of our lanai doors to the side would not open, so we contacted Paul, our property manager, who came over that day and replaced bearings on the door - not a simple task! Very responsive and personable! (Their cleaning team missed sweeping the floors before we came, but this was not a huge deal, along with a few minor maintenance issues.) You cannot get a better view of the Friday evening fireworks show! We would highly recommend this condo! The free parking was also very much appreciated. Lovely beach chairs and two boogie boards, along with a soft cooler for your beach excursions.

Great location, fantastic view, lovely apartment but starting to show some age, could have been a little cleaner. Owners could make apartment feel more welcoming by a small gift for guests ie
Wine,chocolates,flowers. This makes a guest feel like the host really cares that they enjoy there stay. Also most travellers expect to have tea, coffee and maybe milk in the apartment for there arrival.
Our whole family stayed in this property all booking through different companies and there was a varying difference in quality of the apartment. Some apartments being much nicer for a lesser cost.
We enjoyed our time in Waikiki and would recommend the Illikai as a great place to stay.

We tossed up between a property in the hustle and bustle of central Waikiki or the Ilikai, we made the right call!! This apartment is the perfect location for us with great views of the lagoon, beach, fireworks, sunsets and marina and a lot quieter than the main drag. Apartments ending in 44 or 45 are certainly the way to go, double balcony for all day sun or shade, in or out of the wind and multiple views. We may have been disappointed with out this feature now that we have experienced it. Apartment was very tidy with modern appliances and plenty of room for family of 5. Close to everything including bars, restaurants etc, especially next door at the Hilton. It was good to know when booking exactly what apartment you were getting, unlike the Hilton (which was also a consideration for us) where you just got the luck of the draw in terms of room location/position when checking in. Good to have the park option and nice to have a keyless security system. Nice to have the beach chairs and umbrella. I would go back for sure. Only criticism would be the lack of info sheet on things like laundry, rubbish, how to use TV, oven, coffee, machine, making local calls, closest convenience store, some recommended bars and restaurants close by etc

Could have been a little cleaner, but it is a rental. It fit the needs of our family to have 2 bathrooms and separate beds for our teenage kids. Walking distance to all the fun Waikiki has to offer. Laundry was on our floor, but some machines were broken.

We had a wonderful experience at the Ilikai and the property manager was great. Our flight was extremely delayed causing us to be hours and hours last our expected check in time and they were accommodating on getting us access and parking. The place was clean and as advertised in the photos with a great ocean view. The beach accessories, especially the very nice beach chairs were a great amenity and appreciated. I would recommend this property managers as well as this unit. Would definitely consider staying again if make another trip to the island.

Excellent location, unit itself was clean and spacious, needs a bit of minor maintenance but nothing to prevent a great stay. View was fantastic - can be noisy at night with the marina and Hilton water park next door. Great amenities - a must is to visit Duke's Lagoon paddleboarding and surfing on the main level. The condo itself was nice overall. Views were great, and overall a spacious area. Only downsides were getting the key to access the parking garage. The property manager was also hard to get in contact with. Called him when I landed, and he seemed like he couldn't be bothered to talk to me. Instructions were unclear as well.

Great condo with stunning views!
Paul was wonderful & made our check in so easy.
The only issues we had was with our door lock, but Hannah was able to help us with our code & the kitchen isn’t super well stocked. If you’re planning on cooking you will need to buy spices & oil

At check in we were not furnished with a room code, and the parking permit was inside the room. The microwave needs to be replaced due to rust on the inside. First morning there we were locked inside the room.

This property does not disappoint! It was one of the cleanest and best managed properties I've ever rented for a vacation. Paul (the property manager) was outstanding and answered the phone every time I called with a question. The property was beautiful and spotless. We will definitely be back and will reserve this unit!

Have stayed at the Ilikai numerous times. We love it because it is close enough to walk to Waikiki but not *in* Waikiki and all that traffic. Also love the beach where the outriggers launch. It is rocky getting and I recommend water booties but get yourself a noodle to float, relax and watch for the guaranteed turtles to pop up their heads every single day. Also, don't forget Friday night 8pm fireworks courtesy of the neighboring Hilton! Captain Cook resorts check-in/out was easy; all done remotely! Love having a combination lock; lets you head to the beach with just your towel. Highly recommend!
