Great play area, swim for family

Paying extra daily for play area. Access to local bus.

Buffet style breakfast not too much choice Rooms spacious and lots of activities for the kids to enjoy

Breakfast was limited. Bowling had to be booked in advance to secure a decent time. About a 1.9km walk to centre. Only 1 restaurant was in full operation at the time we stayed and not very kid’s friendly menu offered

Location was good, walk away to a supermarket, close driving distance to Ounasvaara Ski.

The hotel is advertised that guests can use the facilities such as the fun park and climbing wall however every time we go to use it, they always have bookings. The facilities are run as a recreation centre so basically their members get priority over hotel guests. Quite disappointing for our kids really when sometimes there would only be a couple of kids in the fun park and they were told they couldn’t go in. Another thing about the hotel is that they don’t clean your room. We first got the excuse that they were understaffed. Then we asked again the following day and we got the same excuse. On the third day, the receptionist assured us that our room would be cleaned first up the next day. No surprises when it wasn’t cleaned yet again. We had garbage that was stinking up the room that hadn’t been emptied. Piles of towels as we had to keep walking back to reception to collect clean ones and the used ones did not get collected. The room also didn’t come with a phone so it meant you had to walk to reception everytime you had a query.

We stayed at the Ice Hotel the night before....we needed a WARM, COMFORTABLE place to recover!!! They graciously got us a room at 10 a.m. and also let us have breakfast when we arrived at 9 a.m. since we would be leaving too early the next day to have breakfast. What a lovely, gracious staff to do this for us!!

There is not anything nearby, but for our needs (sleep!) this didn't matter to us.

Cold-look with hardly any decor. bare minimum provided

The facilities are fantastic, great swimming pool and play area for kids. Bowling was a great added bonus after a day in the snow. And most excursions collect from this hotel.

I was disappointed with the food on offer. The breakfast was quite limited. We did eat but the children didn't find much they liked. And the same for the dinner option. The food in the buffet restaurant was not something we would eat or the children so resorted to the sports bar. And only options there were burger/nuggets and chips. Forcing people to eat out. And also limited supply's in the kitchenette. No mugs for hot drinks. No hob to cook on only microwave/oven.

Too much school/institution feeling. Labyrinth to get to the different elevators for the room and breakfast. And breakfast was simple and like a school diner room. No coffee in the room, and no extra pillow.. high price compared to standard

it was close to city center

the staff and service was horrible. there seems to be shortage of staff and whatever staff was present they were not willing to help they were trying to just avoid you.
