lovely to be self contained and have a comfortable space for the dog. there was a little dog community so our pet got to play with other dogs every day in the grounds

Great location. staff were great and very friendly. Dog friendly and our two dogs were looked after, able to run and play in the big garden. The bed in the room was big and extremely comfortable.

Felt overlooked by property opposite. Would have liked to leave the doors open (as it was a very warm evening) but couldn’t.

It can be hard to find accommodation when you have dogs, but Hillview were amazingly welcoming and lots of lovely touches with regards to the dogs, e.g. providing dog towels, a bowl of water, treats and balls.

Everything was as expected. Lovely accommodation excellent facilities, delicious breakfast brought to our cabin with a smile.

Very peaceful place, dog-friendly, excellent staff

Hillview is a lovely place to stay if you want peace and quiet. The staff are very friendly with great local advice. The huts are basic but great for a sleep location and a brew in the morning, or if you just want to relax locally. Town is about 30mim walk or £5-9 in a taxi depending on time. The breakfast is very good aswell.

Maybe the breakfast could be included in the price but no real big issue.

Comfy bed, everything you could need for a short stay including lovely quality bedding, cutlery, towels, glasses etc. Great location and garden area. Lovely helpful, knowledgeable , friendly proprietors.

Our Hillview cabin was perfect for our short break , quiet and surrounded by plants , trees and a pond. The cabin was very clean with everything we needed A good choice of freshly prepared breakfast was served on our verandah. Our dog was warmly welcomed and relaxed too.

Was a lovely location with views over the fields, fantastic listening to the birds in the evening. Clean, tidy and friendly staff

Bit out the way for the harbour/beach. Had to get taxis (which were great value) or a 30 min walk. Not a negative on the property we just would have preferred to be slightly closer

It was in a very peaceful location, lots of space and a lovely view over the fields. Property was clean and spacious and nicely decorated with lovely gardens. The owner/staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Excellent if you have a pooch!

We would have liked a microwave & maybe a toaster, especially if we’d been there for a longer stay, but this wasn’t a massive deal and wouldn’t stop us going back at all.

Lovely friendly hosts and a very tasty cooked breakfast. The bed was big and super comfortable and the chalet had everything you could need. Also a very warm welcome for our dog. Great long weekend.

We had a fantastic stay at Hillview at the beginning of September for a two night getaway. The Cabin was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely and great to be able to eat it outside overlooking the field of cows. And the staff were very welcoming and helpful - made us feel totally at ease. Great location for the Crab and Winkle way.
