Room was spotless, clean, each room is a different suite. Stayed in room 8, large room, bathroom with shower and large bathtub. Location is: in a central area of Edinburgh, plenty of shops nearby, rooms above a great pub with a cosy environment, free drink for each person staying. Attended for the Christmas markets which is a 45 minute walk but got a Uber taxi instead which was £10 on average. Christmas market overall very festive, plenty of stalls, little bit spenny but expected for a Christmas market in a big city.

What a great experience! The room as clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was large & very clean as well. The bath amenities were high quality & very pleasant. Having the Canny Man's Pub downstairs was a great bonus. The food was delicious & the service was superb. We ate there multiple times during our stay.

Wonderful stay at The Lane Hotel. Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a free drink when I arrived :) The breakfast was amazing (The Scottish breakfast) set me up for the long days of exploring. The location was 20 mins up to the centre or hop on one of the many buses which stopped outside the Hotel. The room was clean and well decorated, plenty of snacks in the room) I did love having a few Irn Bru's in the room!!! Bathroom was spacious and modern. Bed was comfortable and great for a good night sleep. Hotel staff were so helpful storing my luggage and calling me a taxi when I was running late. Perfect for a getaway trip to Edinburgh

I wasn't able to have a meal in the Pub except for breakfast :( Nothing bad at all, I was highly satisfied

The Canny Man’s restaurant was excellent

For £400 for one night, it was extortionate. I was offered 10% off my next visit but even that would make it expensive.

Handy location in Morningside a short bus trip or walk from town centre. Bus stop opposite hotel and service regular. (Be sure to ask driver for ‘Daily Saver ticket’ which caps out at £5 per day/ £22 weekly for all journeys… otherwise you’ll be caught out!) Fabulous spacious en-suite room in Blue Suite with the bonus of easily openable sash windows to street. Bath and shower and twin sinks. Super bed and so comfortable with mattress topper! Tea, coffee, milk and water provided. Let’s of lovely shops and cafes nearby on street. Great pub downstairs- Canny Man’s with lovely staff and wonderful food.

Very little to improve here! Rain shower means water spilled out on bathroom floor so extra towel/ mat would be helpful. No safe in room for passports etc. Breakfast not included for €250/ night rate which seemed unusual?! Extremely enjoyable trip overall / could highly recommend the Lane to any discerning travellers, and we will surely return! Thank you to all the Kerr Family 😀😃

À 3/4 h à pied du château, un peu moins en bus, chambre très spacieuse, décoration moderne et très design, et lit confortable, très grande salle de bain. Très bons Petit déjeuner et dîner pris au restaurant attenant qui est un pub très typique. Accueil chaleureux.

Un peu de bruit dans la rue le matin, mais assez bonne isolation vitree.
