Close to Gare de Lyon, walkable in less than 10 min, felt like a safe area, close to grocery stores, close to bus stops
Had to leave room key at desk when you leave the room. Shower was not so great. No air conditioner

L'hôtel est très bien placé, une dizaine de minutes à pieds de la gare, c'est très pratique. Le personnel est très agréable !! De plus, les lits sont confortables et les chambres propres.
Ce n'est pas réellement un point négatif, mais il faut tout de même noter le manque d'ascenseur.

The staff where very accommodating anything I requested they met my needs with enthusiasm and helped me when needed the area is a good place to stay everything is close by.
The fact you didnt have a kettle in the room .or the idea of leaving the hotel key at reception .

Having read the reviews I was not expecting a very good experience from my night in this hotel, but:
The room was clean and the the sheets crisp and white. Tha bathroom was impeccable (new, I think). And I could leave my big suitcase behind the reception desk. I was travelling with my dog and that was no problem even in the breakfast room.
The floor in my room was a little uneven, and my bed was on a slight slope!

Having to go to the 5th floor with no elevator and almost 80 kilograms of luggage was simply impossible; luckily we could leave our two suitcases downstairs (but not locked and not under surveyance), but even so we had to make two trips and were quite exhausted. Secondly, there was only one (quite small) towel provided for two people. Thirldy, a wake-up call we requested (we had to catch a 6:30 a.m. train) didn't come.

Climbing up narrow stairs with luggage to 4th floor on first night I stayed

The was no lift and the stairs were quite dangerous, felt unsafe. Shockingly, the was only ONE towel when we checked in ( 2 people) and when I went down to reception and asked for extra towels, they seemed to be surprised that’s the standers anywhere.

Probably the best bang for your buck in Paris. Small room but has everything you need.
