We booked a cottage and it was so so lovely! Kitchen was super clean and had everything you need to cook a meal (there is also a supermarket nearby), the couches were comfortable, bathroom was also clean and the beds were cosy and comfy!
There were electrical heaters in the rooms which were more than sufficient to heat the cottage and it had a nice little terrace.
Use of the sauna and showers was also very nice, it was clean and well arranged.
We had the breakfast in the main hotel and it was very good, with a great arrangement of food and drinks.
After we had to check out we only had a train a few hours later but we were welcome to stay in the lounge area of the hotel, which was very comfortable and had some games!
I will definitely come back here!
The only thing that could be a bit of a downside is that you need to clean the cottage yourself. But they provide all cleaning supplies so this makes it very easy and quick to do.

The location was good and food was amazing. If you informed in advance you could prepare packed lunches from the breakfast which was much appreciated. The little gear store was great in case you forgot to bring anything. The sauna was a great end to day.
We lived in the one of the double rooms in the main building. The walls were so thin we could hear people walk in the hallway and our neighbor snoring. Since the area is know for midnight hikes there was a lot of noises throughout the night when people came home. If you are light sleeper these rooms are not recommended. The rooms were also a bit like doorm rooms. The beds were not next to each other so it didn’t feel like a hotel per say. We also wished the sauna had a more flexible opening hour. It ran from 4pm-7pm which was tight if you came home from a long day hike and had dinner reservations.

Nice lounge for reading, Great restaurant on premises, friendly staff

Staff were very friendly and their English was excellent. The restaurant food for dinner and breakfast was good. A lot of choice at breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Bug nets on the windows if needed (it was very hot when we were there so this was appreciated).
No kettle in the standard rooms. The hotel restaurant was the only restaurant within walking distance.

Location of the place really nice for the outdoor activities. Restaurant very good and it was nice that also sauna was open until very late. Staff very helpful and friendly.
No extra cost for the pet.
Rooms rather modest and small but clean and there was all you needed

Incredible getaway - it’s so secluded and so special compared to anywhere else I’d been. The lodge also is very easily reachable ( 3 min walk from
Abisko ostra), and it helps organise any activities that might be interesting while in the arctic circle. Also the food was absolutely delicious.
I came either my partner and our room had two small single beds that we couldn’t conjoin. Otherwise it was cozy, and warm.

-Sauna included
-Proximity to tour provider
*The kitchen is very minimally equipped, e.g., cabin for 4 only had 2 mugs, so not everybody could drink a morning coffee, very small sink which makes doing dishes a challenge
*Showers are in a common area, there's no private shower but the two showers available for all cabins face each other, every hostel provides more privacy than this
*We received a confusing welcome message via booking telling us about towels, which didn't end up being included in the booking and we had to pay extra for
*When checking in we asked about the cleaning procedure and were told no deep cleaning was required, when entering the cabin there is this long list of requirements though, e.g., mopping floors, shake out duvets outside, clean the toilet, put up chairs on the table (which is a challenge in itself as they don't all fit at the same time)

Lovely location, great breakfast and service, helpful staff, very good restaurant. We appreciated the size of the window in the room which gave us a beautiful view of the surrounding and of the northern lights during the night.
The size of the room (and toilet) is really really small considering its price. Room had no hair dryer nor an area where to take off or leave wet boots coming from outside. Also, it would have been great to have a kettle to boil some water for a hot drink in the night (after staying out for hours trying to see the northern lights you get definitely frozen!). It's a pity that the only food you can order at the lodge is at the restaurant, which is lovely but very elegant and refined: if you stay for more than 1 night, you might need to eat something "easy" like a sandwich or a soup either during the day or for dinner (considering that there are no other options in the area).

There isn't much in Abisko aside from the National Park and the lure of the Northern Lights, which is why we were in town in winter. This place was gorgeous, warm, well maintained and wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was large and absolutely delicious. The common room was so warm and inviting - I almost never wanted to leave. The room was FAR beyond my expectations. With a heated floor in the foyer, you then entered your room which had a lovely sitting area, a wonderful in-room coffee bar and an awesome bathroom - again with a heated floor. There were little details everywhere and it was lovely. Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed. The staff were always very nice. The drinks were yummy. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
The walls were so thin I heard the neighbors zipping their luggage (LOL). And apparently I got too excited about something because I was just TALKING and they knocked on the wall after 2 minutes for me to be quiet - at 4 pm in the afternoon. Not sure this can be fixed...just bring a noise machine and/or don't get excited.

Special location - stunning scenery and prime spot for northern lights. Fantastic restaurant - our loveliest dinner out in a long time. Cozy common lounge area. Good shop with souvenirs and mountain gear.
Room very small (though the size is clearly communicated in the particulars, so we were forewarned). Room rather hot and stuffy also, which detracted from a good night's sleep.

The location was fabulous. We could see the Northern Lights from our window. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to go out of their way to help all guests. Beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, comfortable rooms. Absolutely delicious food, breakfast and dinner. I can't recommend Abisko Mountain Lodge enough. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

We loved Abisko Mountain Lodge's location and surroundings. The Lodge also serves a delicious breakfast spread and delicious dinner meals.

We spent 1 night here in September. The scenery and foliage surrounding the lodge were gorgeous. Our little room was cute, well appointed and very quiet. Slept very well on the soft sheets. Amazing welcome from the entire staff, everybody is so friendly and professional. The breakfast/dining area is charming and cosy. We also had a very tasty meal at the Brasserie, conveniently located inside the lodge. Drinks in the lounge area by the wood furnace topped our evening.
Room was smaller than expected but very comfortable. We couldn’t really fit both suitcases in it.

The location is great if you are travelling to try to see northern lights - we did see them, on three out of the four nights that we were there. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful bunch of people that I have met in a long time. The atmosphere of the place is bright and happy.
Rooms are on the small and basic side. It is a far-off place, but still I feel that they could have made the rooms a bit bigger, especially for the price. Still, they have all you need so if you are staying for only a few days, and you are not one of those spoilt Americans who complain about everything, you will be just fine!

breakfast and dinner!
room is small.
3.5
Cozy room and hotel areas. Breakfast was adequate. Plenty of free parking. Beautiful evening dinning is available at the hotel.
It is a cabin combined with many other rooms in close proximity, so sounds carry through walls and floor easily. Despite this I did sleep quite good.

Breakfast was delicious with a great choice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended many fantastic trails, for example Trollsjön, and were always smiling and welcoming. The rooms were quite Ok, while the restaurant serves some fantastic food. Redfish and reindeer were brilliant. We also used the sauna, which was a great addition. The location was good, close to a trail, not far from a shop.
