The building from outside is just scary and also inside it seems like it was something in the old days but totally rocked down over time. The room just seemed to be second class and was not even really clean. The bathroom was just terrible ….

Short drive from main train station, friendly and helpful staff and big comfortable rooms. Big swimming pool and area surrounding it. Amazing piano player in the lobby in the evening, don't know if he plays every night but worth a listen with a drink if he is there!

Location isn't great for a tourist, not walk able really to any of the main tourist areas or sights. Rooms are a little dated but still clean and comfortable.

Totally amazed. The Hotel is beautiful. The location is in very central of Surabaya.

The food and staff were excellent and friendly.

The hotel is showing its age. The room was not great, stained carpet, marked up walls, broken phone in the washroom. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for far less, the rooms desperately need some updates. For the price I expected more, it is rated 5 star but I wouldn't put it above 3 stars.

Just perfect hotel

Breakfast was great! We enjoyed the outdoor areas.

Once outside the hotel it was not easy to walk anywhere. The sidewalks were uneven.

Very spacious rooms, view on the city, amazing buffets for dinner and breakfast (go early so you are able to enjoy all the different options!), very friendly and available staff. Excellent location close to the sights in Surabaya.

Facilities inside the room a bit old. Spa is not as luxurious as the hotel. Laundry is too expensive compared to other laundry services in similar starred hotels.

I like spacious room, big garden in center of Surabaya, near biggest mall in Surabaya. All Standard room already included bathtub Spacious parking area, excellent staff hotel

Rooms were spacious and clean, with very fancy finishings. Bed was comfortable. Location was exceptional, with local facilities such as laundry nearby, as well as very easy walking access to the huge Tunjungan plaza shopping mall and restaurants. The one day we were heading on a tour in the early morning, they very kindly packed us a packed breakfast with delicious club sandwiches - very appreciated! Staff including car park staff were very helpful.

Rooms were beautifully decorated but slightly dated, and the air con although functional was not very strong.

The shades in the bathroom were broken and the bathtub looked a bit shabby for a 5 star hotel.

Location and cleanliness of the room

When checked in reception staff agree to give late check out at 3pm because of my evening flight. At 2.30pm they rang my room and said they will charge me one more night because check out time is 12 noon. When I confront reception, they ask me name of reception who approved for late check out. How can I remembered it? When I told them to check in computer (because I know when you checked guest in into the system, your initial name will be there too) then they said they will confirm to her friend. Also when I asked to print one page of document (only declaration not much words and no picture which need lots of ink printer) they said will cost 10k. I know nothing free in this world but charge 10k (AUD$1) for a customer who spent lots of money for staying a week?? So I decided to print it when I stay in a hotel in Bali at no cost, same 5* hotel but the service is much much better. This is not about the money but how you offer service of excellence to customer. Understandable if you print lots of pages. Should give more training to reception because they reflect the first impression of the hotel.
