The room was spacious and had a great view of the mountains. Very quiet. Pivat toilet was a plus.

Older facility seemed to show its age, a bit dark and dreary on the inside.

The breakfasts & dinners provided are good. Owner fetched us from the Gokayama Interchange as we could not speak Japanese to book a taxi. Due to bus time table issue, owner also drove us to the Ainokura Unesco Village the wnext day.

Would be good if there is supper snack as there are no restaurants nearby.

Very beautiful and quiet village. Host is very nice and helpful. We arrived very late without dinner after light-up festival in Shirakawa. All restaurants were closed during that time. The lady host made a phone call to Takachiyo restaurant to let us dining there. The chef owner is so friendly and passionate. We had wonderful Japanese food and unforgettable great time that night.

We love everything on this Ryokan. The two seniors (owners) are very kind and generous. They serve excellent free breakfast and the location is strategic to access heritage sites as Shirikawa, Ainokura, and Suganuma. Having no resto nearby was never a problem. They offer paid meals or you can bring-in foods, and they even offer to drive us to nearest combini or resto.

Good experience to stay in a traditional Japanese inn. Yoshinoya san and staff were very friendly. We placed order for a Japanese dinner set with the inn and was not disappointed. The food was excellent. Yoshinoya san did offer to drive us to the nearest village to explore the area.

Do not have any convenient store near by.
