The Puma is about 100 meters away from the main street St. Martin which can be loud at night. The hotel is quiet and in walking distance to all other places. As we stayed 5 nights we took a room in the back, which was nice, clean and spacy and a good place to hang around reading. There is a lobby with an open fire. We also enjoyed not having televison in the whole hotel, even during the futbol world champion ship. (the big screens and food of Rancho Grande are just 300 m away). The staff ist very friendly, helpful and interested, so we had nice conversations with them.

The hotel would be perfect having a sauna to relax after a long hike.

Fantastic hotel near the center of the city and very close to the most well known trails in El Chalten. Breakfast was great and the front desk staff was super helpful! Great stay!!

I would prefer to not have to do a web checkin after having checked in physically (what the purpose?), I would prefer to not have to recall the staff I was not subject to VAT at checkout; after a long day hike, I would be happy to have a kettle in my room. The room is very nice, but for sure not the best value in El Chaltén.

Cintia and her team provided wonderful, personal and warm hospitality. rooms were brand new, comfortable and very clean. couldn’t ask for more in a perfect stay.

Beautiful Hosteria. We stayed in the superior room and we didn't want to leave, because it was so nice and comfortable to be there. The smell of the room was so nice, we had an own terrace to spend time on, when the weather was nice. The staff was super helpful in organizing our tours and suggesting us what is the best possibility adjusted to the weather. We absolutely recommend this hosteria!

one girl from the reception with long brown hair was not helpful, always in the kitchen. she didn’t say anything to our taxi driver who was coming for picking us at the hotel .. she didn’t even check our name on her computer and told him i don’t know .. he decided to leave .. no apologies from her. not recommandable. the other girl from the recetion with short and long hair was extremely helpful and way more friendly and respectful.

Hosteria el Puma was great! Great location, close to trailheads. The room was comfortable, and quite large. The ambience throughout the hotel was very relaxing, from the lobby fireplace to the plush towels. Perfect mountain hotel!

Sound traveled. There was a family with three young children (approx. ages 2, 4, 6) while we were there, and the kids were quite loud. We could hear them from every part of the hotel, whether we were in our room, at breakfast, or in the lobby. Wifi was weak.

The room, location, and amenities were excellent.

Such a clean place, neatly situated with access to the very small town. Nice breakfast before the long hikes. Cute decoration inside and a cosy fireplace. Sol at the frontdesk was especially helpful with her hiking tips!!

It would have been helpful if there was a small fridge in the room so we could cool our hiking food the night before the trek so it would last.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable, the place was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, the location was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the cost, and definitely recomme nd.
