excellent location, clean and new accommodation, pool and playground were fantastic

our unit was a very long walk to the pool (with 3 little kids) and before the boom gate. I wasn’t allowed to drive my car through to the pool, although it wasn’t busy. The kitchen was poorly equipped - no oven mitts, no tongs, a collection of random glasses (no two the same, only 1 wine glass), blunt knives. the wifi didn’t work at all in our unit, despite being very close to the front office. No notification that the mains water would be turned off for repairs - kids were soaped up in the shower when it was turned off for an hour!

Cabins were perfect for what we needed, they were self contained and bigger than expected. The location was perfect to walk into town within 5-10 minutes and it was handy having bathroom facilities in the cabin as well as the shared caravan park ones.

Would have been better if linen was supplied for the bunk beds to save us having to bring along with us. We did also have an issue booking for the correct number of attendees on Booking.com which resulted in us being charged extra upon arrival.

The location, as always is excellent. The park is well maintained and pretty.

We booked a 2 bedroom villa ($135 per night) for 2 people. when we arrived there was only one bed made up and no linen for a second bed. we rang and asked about this to be told they assumed we only needed one bed? They then suggested we "buy" linen for a second bed despite our booking clearly stating two people and two bedrooms. they did give us linen - a top sheet, pillow, pillow case and a very thin doona. we could have booked a standard 1 bedroom cabin for $90 if we only wanted one bed! We have, since coming home, checked out the website and yes, they do state linen is not provided for the second bedroom BUT this is not indicated on the third party booking site. we asked for another towel - no, only one per person. one bathmat and no hand towel. We asked for the Wi-Fi password to be told, rather grumpily, it is on the receipt - who would think to look there when there is a "welcome" folder? When it did not work we rang to check to be told it is correct and oh, it often does not work as to is supplied free of charge by Telstra. how about telling us there is no Wi-Fi as it did not work for the whole 4 days and they were less than 1/10 full? It was literally zero degrees during the nights and the only way to stay even slightly warm was to leave the heater on 24/7 at 23 degrees and hope. it was very inefficient. there was a spare doona in the main bedroom but it had to be used for the second bed as the one given provided no warmth. once we figured out how to use the electric blanket on the main bed it was not too bad. also the unit needs a good clean - particularly the bathroom. i know this sounds like a rant but this used to be a good place to recommend to people. we have been staying at various places in Yarrawonga for over 40 years and visit a minimum of once per year for at least 4 days per visit.

no microwave in the room tv reception was poor no DVD player but website said tv/dvd player towel rail kept falling off bathroom wall.

the villa was beautifully appointed with everything you could need for a holiday including washer/ dryer and full kitchen. Beautiful view of the river, fun park facilities and conveniently close to town.

nothing! was great. Would have liked advance warning that the lake would be drained, but it worked out fine.
