a bit tired, needs a spruce up

Sheets were clean, big double bed was comfortable

Steps everywhere. Cold corridors. Wi-Fi didn’t work and tv kept stopping. Bathroom was dated and had black mould, shower was poor. Windows didn’t seal properly and were misting up in between the panes. Electric points were nowhere near the bed

radiator only warm had additional oil heater on full, room was still cold. window sliding door was out of the guides couldn’t open it. bed wasn’t the best

The only thing we found uncomfortable was the room temperature which was very warm. Could have done with airconditioning so we could change that.

Location was good for me and my daughter, didn't have breakfast as I left early mornings, evening meals were tasty and good value

Lovely, clean, quiet and comfy. We normally stay at the Ibis or Travel lodge but never again! The Roebuck was perfect! We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying here in future when we stay in Stevenage!

Nothing bad to say

Friendly staff.

When we arrived there was no heating, the barman got permission to light a fire but it was inadequate. Tried to have a meal in the restaurant but it was too cold so went to the bar. The Indian meal was very bad and inedible. The owner was around but he had a wax jacket on and a scarf! The other customers also kept their jackets on. At £70 a night it was grossly over priced and we will not be going back again, Wish we'd stayed at the Premier Inn it would have been far superior and cheaper!!

Decor was very tired, bed not particularly comfortable. Had to request a hairdrier. Brambles growing in front of window.

everything else just had a grubby air about it and the carpets were filthy .. and we had to sleep with the smell of cannabis coming from the room next to us . we thought i was taking my special needs daughter to a special hotel... i should have gone to a motel

Convenient for Knebworth, interesting bar for the locals and a great curry in the restaurant

will need a decor refresh sometime.

Andrew on reception could not have been more polite and helpful.

It has not had any maintenace in years and still absolutely stinks of smoke. The smell got into my clothes to the extent that I had to wash them as soon as I got home. Furniture, carpets and cutains all need to be binned and the room re-painted.

the room and mmmm was very dated and the bed wasn’t comfortable. there was no one around when I left at just after 8am this morning
