Even though a great place to stay, it does not deserve to be a 5 star hotel. The service and facilities does not quite match up to what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. The hotel is also in need of a refurbishment.

The experience from airport pick up was very smooth and seamless, the driver we were allocated to was very patient with us . Our room was prepared in advance and we enjoyed the serenity, the meals were freshly prepared and with good variety, the staff were so kind especially when we once forgot to lock our valuables they went the extra mile to guard them till we returned to the room.

The WiFi wasn't well set-up at first, the codes were not working which meant that we needed to keep requesting the front office to give us short codes, maybe you could explore another WiFi solution?

The beach is one of the best in Zanzibar : long and large with the perfect white sand. For us it is was also possible to swim in low tide. The garden and the overall architectural of the resort are well designed and there is a meticulous care of details by management throughout the premises. Food , overall, was good: the breakfast with a extensive buffet with some healthy fresh juices of hibiscus and ginger, tamarind plus the usual classics pineapple mango. The wifi signal is strong everywhere in the premises in the bedrooms, lobbies and it reaches the beach and bars. There are also some water equipment to use for guests (bikes, windsurf, kayaks, SUP).

Everything was above my expectations: however if I could suggest something to management is to try to control noise pollution after 2300, from the entertainment shows within the resort or loud music from the neighbors. Some rooms may be more affected than others.

This place was just perfect. I and another 4 family members stayed 8 nights in this wonderful place. We celebrated my sister's 17th birthday which turned out amazingly since the staff made for her a cake and surprised her with flowers. It was absolutely fantastic. The photos are not giving you back the real picture of this resort, it is much nicer than in the photos. We got our rooms with a sea view. The room was spacious and comfy with a big balcony. The staff was super kind, always helpful. The pool is big and right next to it there is the beach which was incredible. The beach boys were a little bit bothering since every time you go down to the beach they try to interact with you which can be tiring after a while. The breakfast was tasty: croissants, on-spot made eggs (you can choose how you want it), pancakes, waffles, many fruits, juices, and some salads. Lunch and dinner: for my tase it wasn't so successful: a big variety of food but mainly fish.

Unfortunately, the AC did not really work in our room. The WIFI works only in specific places. The dessert was not tasty at all..it would be great if there would be an improvement in it. Besides that, we had an amazing time.
