Friendly staff, clean and tidy hotel.

Shower in bedroom was very poor, some noise late at night

Check in was very good and really informative. A really nice welcome by the owners Son. We were impressed by the decor and communal area. Oh and the resident Parrot, Harriet. Our room was a good size and nice and warm on arrival. The bed was super comfy and all very clean.

Breakfast was very good. Good quality ingredients but lacking in amount. I feel at least 2 rashers of Bacon should be given per person. We have no problem with pre ordering.

Lovely friendly welcome and helpful staff. Breakfast was lovely, plentiful and tasty... they even accommodated a request not on the menu. Roomy room with ensuite shower. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Only a short walk from the sea front, and also the shops. Plenty of places to eat nearby too.

Only 2 small things I noticed that could have been better. TV connection wasn't great and was hard to navigate through as seemed very out of cinque with day/date. WiFi connection was an open connection and didn't have a secure password access.

Our bedroom was damp and the bathroom was smelly and both the toilet and the shower blocked during our stay (Room 19)

Great location, easy walking distance to beach front and town centre. Room was well put together and nicely decorated. Everywhere looked clean and the bath towels were thick and fluffy. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. Having access to Netflix on the tv was a welcome surprise too, much appreciated by my daughter.

A shelf or something in bathroom to put wash stuff on would’ve been been good, there was a shelf above sink but too high for us to reach.

The booking in went well and the reception area was well appointed with comfortable chairs in which to await taxis or staff when they were busy. We were shown to our room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable even though the room had a standard size double bed which was a little small for me. Masks were requested in the public areas but not required but most customers adhered to the request. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the landlady was an absolute people person who exuded happiness and helpfullness. The hotel was a little understaffed due to the covid problems but the staff who were working were fabulous. The bar area was great to sit in in the evening and relax with a drink or two. It was comfortable and the landlady made the experience very pleasant and was happy to join in with a bit of chat. Breakfast was covered with an early and a later setting to allow for the seating area to not be overpopulated at one time and guests were asked to choose their breakfast items the day before which ran really well. The food was freshly prepared and cooked and well as being well presented. Cutlery and condiments were scrupulously clean and wrapped in plastic again in keeping with covid restrictions. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.
