Amazing view of Chateau de Gruyère!

The room looked very different from the photos of the room we booked. We specifically chose it for the wooden beams and "chalet" feel, but ended up in an OK but completely average room, which was very disappointing.

Parking hard to find

Modern, clean, lovely staff, good shower, nice view across the valley to Gruyère.

The beds were very hard and there was no sound-proofing so we could hear what was going on in the room next door.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the interior there was cozy. The view from the room was spectacular.

Hotel shares misleading information stating that it has free parking, in reality it has no parking and hotel employees just suggest to find some parking around the city (which i was lucky tl find in 1km from hotel...). Also hotel employee do not speak any English, so it is impossible to have any communication (i was lucky to bump into another guest who acted as interpreter)

Zero facilities - but very small hotel. Very strict on where you sit or what time you can order a coffee / drink.

Room was neat and clean, view was amazing. The room was very neat and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

For the price that we paid, I would have preferred to have a rubbish bin in the room, as well as a bottle of water in the room. Long hot summer days meant that the room was like a hot box, would have been nice to have a fan, just to make it easier to sleep at night. We were not informed of how the restaurant works on arrival, the necessity to book a table, as it's also a public restaurant, The terrace is not open for afternoon drinks after a long day of travel. However, in saying that, the staff were very accomodating, set an extra table for us for dinner and allowed us to have afternoon drinks in the cigar room as the terrace was not open until 18;30.
