The hosts were great. So welcoming. The accommodation was above a pub. There was everything we needed and mow. A few bits in the fridge and snacks too.

A shower in the second bathroom would have made it easier for 9 of us but that didn’t spoil it for us.

We brought breakfast but they had cereal juice , milk, bread etc. It was lovely. Everything which we wasn't expecting was there. Nice touches like the free biscuits. The hoist definitely went the extra mile. Even the pub staff where friendly and helpful, The digs was fantastic so much so we had provisionally booked for next year , If I could I would love to book it over Christmas. Its so refreshing to have a nice place and super hosts Thank Steve and co.

Our stay was for daughters graduation, there were 6 adults and one child, staff told us on arrival that the boiler was broken and they were waiting on a part, this made the stay quite stressful as we had to bathe the 18 month old with water heated from the kettle, the adults took cold showers as one of them was very pregnant this was not ideal, the apartment was lovely except for this one area

The only word to describe this place is PERFECT! We had 7 adults and 2 young children stay in the immaculately clean apartment. We had an enormous surprise to find a welcome pack of fresh food there for us, bread, milk, croissants, scones, honestly loads of stuff! Cleaning products, shower products, spare bedding and fleecy blankets! Fabulous 👏 We also ate downstairs in the pub on the Friday and the Sunday. The staff couldn't be faulted and couldn't have been more welcoming, plus the homemade food was tremendous. It's easy to see why they are regularly fully booked.

The apartment was amazing. It was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Having the pub downstairs was an added bonus, for the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was great!!! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

This apartment is very spacious, has 2 lovely bathrooms and everything you need for a stay away from home. We were given a very generous welcome pack with milk, juice, bread, cereals, cakes and plenty more. I would recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay there again. Plenty of TVs and free WiFi.

Plenty of room.

Large, comfortable, very well kitted out and despite being over a pub/restaurant it was very quiet. The restaurant meals were excellent and reasonably priced. The 2 bathrooms were modern and the shower was brilliant. The kitchen had everything we needed and they left several things like bread, milk, scones and cereals.

The entrance staircase from the carpark was steep, narrow, creaky and we wondered what we'd see when we entered the flat, however it was wonderful. The telephone number on the booking details is incorrect and needs changing.

Booked in here for work. Beautiful views of rolling hills and surrounding farmland. Very comfortable, modern renovation, with everything you could need for a week away. Fantastic staying above a pub - great beer on tap and delicious hearty food. V welcoming hosts. ~12 minutes drive from Durham, 30-60 minutes on public transport.

The apartment was beautiful and fully equipped. Photos do not do it justice. Ideally located in a quiet rural area just 10-15 minutes from downtown Durham. The hosts could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Our family of 7 adults plus an infant and a toddler were perfectly comfortable.

Since you’re above the pub, you do hear some noise until midnight. No loud music but plenty of people chatting outdoors. The windows are great but some noise does filter through so may not work for very light sleepers.

A light at the top of the stairs, over the door to the apartment would have been helpful for seeing when unlocking and locking the door.

Exceptionally clean. Very high quality of fitments, both in the living room (massive leather sofas), bathroom, shower room and kitchen. Very roomy. The apartment is over a village pub, the people behind the bar were very friendly and so were the customers in front of the bar. Good beer. Good food. I've stayed in places around the world, including the Barcelona Hilton, five star hotels in the far east and the Randolph in Oxford. I would sooner stay here than any of them. If anyone is visiting the UK and wants to get a flavour of genuine Northern hospitality, you could not do better than this place. And no, I'm not related to the landlord!
