The cottage is beautiful inside and out. The decor which incorporates fresh new plaster with the original timbers and stone work is just perfect.
The facilities are all fantastic with everything you need for a comfortable stay
Bed is ultra comfortable. I never sleep amazingly when on a business trip but last night was exceptional!
Everything has been really well thought out, plug sockets have been installed next to the couch, WiFi works well and the smart TV with on demand services available was fab. Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom was a nice addition too. Who doesn't love a showeroke session!
Easy to find, great parking, quiet location, warm, meticulously clean & comfortable.
Thank you for a great stay. I'll look forward to coming back soon!

Was very clean and well kept
Only negative was location on getting taxis but if you’ve got your own car it won’t be an issue.

Lovely cottage which has been beautifully renovated with high quality fittings and furnishings. Very quiet indeed though on a B road and excellently located for Durham, Bishop Aukland (art!) and Weardale villages and walking
It's a great place already. much enjoyed and highly recommended. Further minor improvements would be a welcome/info pack and anything to make real coffee (such as cafetiere or filter cone)

Super little cottage, well set out with nice touches to make it homely. Enjoyed the welcome crisps and biscuits too! Would definitely stay again.

We were very comfortable with the cottage , Katie introduced herself to us and said anything you need just to knock on her door .Bed very Comfortable,Bathroom had shower and bath .Would certainly recommend it.
There was nothing that we could of wanted but will say potato peeler would of been handy as we ate at the cottage a couple of times that is minor, but I would think Katie would like to know, other wise top place to stay, bed very comfortable .

Just felt at home. Very comfortable.
There was only one small cutting knife available, more of a selection would be better. There was coffee plus biscuits and crisps which was much appreciated but tea, salt and pepper would have been good.

The apartment was spacious with excellent facilities. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to have a fire and the off road parking was great. There was heating in all rooms.
It would have been nice to have a hand towel in the bathroom.

Location was in the country. Beautifully furnished and lovely quirky building, tastefully renovated.
There were no towels provided that would be expected in a lovely property like this, especially for overseas travellers, and nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Also no tea, coffee or milk provided that would help when arriving late.

Log burner was excellent after the owner got it going for me,needed some firelighters.

Good self catering accommodation. However, maybe because not long on website a couple of things we would have expected but werent in situ - eg wine glasses; teapot. But the accommodation was finished to a lovely standard and bed and bedlinen comfortable. Happy to bring our own towels are requested, but slightly unusual - so something to remember if booking. Aslo there are absolutely not shops in village. We did do a lovely walk, but one would have to bring everything one needed for their stay, if not wanting to drive to nearest shops.
As above wine glasses and teapot would have been appreciated.

Host (Katie) was extremely obliging and helpful.
Cottage is beautifully refurbished and prepared for guests.
Furniture, fittings and appliances all were excellent and worked well
No mention on Booking.com confirmation that towels are not supplied; however, Katie provided them very willingly.
No fresh, individual bathroom commodities provided.

everything was perfect
there is no wi-fi which is difficult to stay In touch with family as phone service is very poor. just me being picky, but can racks be placed in the bathroom for both hand and bath towels. Also a few sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper will be welcome.

Fabulous cosy cottage, the photos don't do it justice! Very comfy bed and great facilities. Very quiet and peaceful location. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Also received a warm welcome by Katie & her partner. Thank you.
