Very comfortable bed and silent room. We slept very well.

The structure was very humid, there was mold on some walls. The breakfast offered consisted of many single things wrapped in single-use packaging and therefore produced quite a lot of plastic waste.

The location is very good; the proprietor was pleasant, and readily available.

Directions could have been better. In an old city with erratic street naming and numbering, you really need to supply customers with a detailed map. (Not a Google map! Google has lots of errors in its data for Italian cities.) B&B Le Streghe may have been top-notch years ago, but these days the facilities are not being maintained well. We found serious problems with the plumbing and electrical systems. The shower head had failed long ago, and water went in all directions. The toilet had been leaking long enough to leave a dark stain. Two lights worked only some of the time; another never worked. And turning on the oven in the communal kitchen triggered the main breaker so the whole place went dark.

perfectly situated for the old part of town and close to landmarks . the b&b was small and tucked away and felt very safe.?good for solo travellers. Staff were friendly and accommodating even when I arrived later than expected. The room was clean, comfy and had good air con! Very good value for money. Lots of options for self serve breakfast. It did get noisy in the evenings when I was there (Fri/sat) as there are lots of little bars in the area and is very popular with younger folk but I didn’t mind!

the location is very central. over 1 km to the train, but in a very central part of town. everything you need. unlike other reviewers, I found no "home-made" breakfast items, but the packaged items they left were fine. The party bars they mentioned are a block away, but I guess I was just very tired, and the noise didn't keep me awake at 2am.

Other travelers' descriptions sounded great---so i tried booking in the morning via Airbnb. Even though the site said they had availability, Roberto declined my booking, I assumed because it was full. Late afternoon I looked on another booking site and they had availability, so I reserved it and walked over. All this made me think there would be other guests (which i prefer), but the place was totally empty. A lady was there to check me in, and after that the place was empty the entire time. The temperature inside was quite chilly, so there was no one to ask about heating it up. Plus I had another question about the busses, but no one was there to help. Fortunately there was an extra blanket in the room to deal with the cold temperature---it was actually warmer outdoors than inside the room!! Next day, nobody at breakfast, so forget that home-made breakfast---but the packaged breakfast items were certainly edible. the room itself was fine, and it's in a cute older part of town, I just wish there was some community/people there to interact with during my stay.

The lobby smelt of cat urine and when we went to the room it stank of smoke. The lady acknowledged this, opened the window and sprayed air freshener in the room. It made little difference. When we got back to the room in the evening it stank, even with the windows open. The toilet was heavily stained and the shower was filthy. The smell of tobacco was embedded in the sheets and in the morning it was as though my partner and I had been smoking, our throats were sore. We were booked in for 5 nights, left after one. Breakfast was pre packaged baked goods that had clearly been hanging around for a while. There was no milk for coffee and once we had paid the host disappeared, leaving us to pack and leave a key.
