Our room had great views of the town. The staff were very warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed the included breakfast. A very charming property that’s not right on top of the main drag but a 5 minute walk away.

The bath towels were a bit stiff and small.

The hotel was far from meeting expectations. We were greeted with poor client attention and a rude owner. Room was barely comfortable and dusty (triggered my wife’s allergies). For a price that was not cheap. We decided it was not worth wasting our vacation time on it so we quickly paid, used our room for sleeping and left early in the morning. They were nice enough to keep our bags during the day though. We would advise not to stay in this hotel.

the common area is lovely and the view is amazing! the rooms were quiet and the staff were helpful. we booked a tour with them to the glacier which was well priced (the same price as in the town).

the rooms as a little tired and the bathroom could use an upgrade, but the shower was hot.

The owner was only friendly when we arrived, then basically ignored us. The rest of the staff was very friendly!

This would seem a very harsh review, but the property is managed in a horrible way. Right from the moment we entered and the lady attended us. Room was horrible ,floor was sticky and unclean , bed was a joke (basically 2 wooden planks with legs ), untidy bed sheets, broken furniture .There was one window ,which wouldn’t close properly and with the property on an elevation sleeping at night was impossible with the wind noise all night ( it really windy in Calafate ) and to top it all, there was no hot water! Lucky we only had 1 night reservation!

the breakfast was good. Not many options, but we could eat more than enough. The view is amazing and the room very quiet and clean. The center is 15 minutes away walking. It was not a problem for us, but it can be a little bit exhaustive.

The staff (owners) are not prepared to talk or explain anything to the clients without getting rude. Check in: We wanted to use the card we used to make the réservation and they were not able to charge us with that card because they didn't know the password of the website. We gave other cards and they started taking pictures of the cards and taking pictures from a supposed system of payments that we didn't know. They didn't bother explaining why they needed the pictures of the card. Everything happened really fast and we got confused and could not react immediatly. It was an awful experience, one of the worst in a hotel. From the way they treated us, we felt like we were doing something wrong. They wanted to charge us for a tax that was undue for foreigners (even though we presented our passeports). THanks to Booking recommendation, we knew it was undue and could convince them not to charge us. When we arrived the toilet was clogged. We asked he owner to repair it and he was really rude. He immediatly said he was not giving us a new room because that one had already been cleaned (notice that we didn't ask for another room). He than just ignored us and did not repair. We had to use the reception toilet the first day. We complained again about the toilet and he finally asked in front of us the cleaning lady to fix it when she went cleaning the room. That meant we stayed two more hours without a toilet. No TV. The safe does not work. We have to give them the keys before going out.

Amazing views over el Calafate

The service & help provided by the manager is amazing. Most warm welcome & useful help we have had in our 4 weeks in Argentina. The breakfast view is really beautiful.

The quality of the room is very much like a basic hostel. The breakfast isn’t the best.

They ask you to leave your keys at the reception desk with all other people’s room keys when you go out - made me feel very uncomfortable. Not all the staff were helpful The location is not the best.

Great view from the window, clean room, amazing and caring staff, delicious breakfast and lunch box for glacier tours. Once there, we saw it is an LGBT friendly place, which is great and rare to see in a small town in Patagonia.

The facilities in the room seemed a little dated, but that’s a detail. The location is not bad as long as you’re ok walking back up hill for 10-15 mins after your dinner/drink in the city centre.

They extremely warm and helpful, they helped my find accommodation for the nights they were fully booked and offered to help me book excursions etc. There was fruit for breakfast and freshly made eggs, the view over the lake is beautiful and the interior very cozy and tasteful. I would definitely come back!

I slept on a memory foam mattress, which I find too soft and I feel like it keeps your body from moving in your sleep the way it's supposed to. But that's just my personal feeling. Also, I would have loved some more healthy food for breakfast - oat or wholemeal bread, for example. But of course every hotel can't have everything, and the value for money is very good.

Tuto muy bien

The breakfast each morning was great. We had the option for scrambled eggs plus pastries, toast, juice and coffee. The hours for breakfast were early enough so that you could make the tours you had booked. We also had requested lunch bags for one of our excursions and we received an amazing gourmet type lunch that was delicious. Andrea and Javier were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to communicate with us and make our stay comfortable. In addition the view is just amazing.
