We're so grateful that this host accepted our reservation at the last minute when another place cancelled on us. The family room was so comfortable at the very back of the house with 2 separate bedrooms for a total of 3 beds. 1 small room had a single bed and the large room also had a single bed and a double bed with a table and chairs. There was a nice, large seating area, a heater, and a fan. The kitchen was huge and perfect to be able to cook a meal. With 3 bathrooms, we never had to wait, even with the property fully booked. We were able to do laundry (free to wash, a small fee to dry). Nice location near restaurants and a grocery store. The host was cleaning every morning, so the place was spotless. Very fast responses from the host. We ever forgot our charger and the host is holding it for us to pick up a week later!

You're staying in someone's home, so there will be some noise from upstairs and from outside, but it was never a bother. There were quite a few flies and small spiders, but they have bug spray everywhere if it becomes bothersome. This is common throughout all of New Zealand, though. The wifi is very weak and spotty in the family room sinces it's at the back of the house, but it works great in the dining room/kitchen. The family room does have a door that opens to the backyard, but you are able to lock it.

Bed was very hard. Booked for two separate beds yet received one queen size which didn't suit us.
