We had the most wonderful stay by the Blyde, I'm very impressed by the security they have in place, they have have spikes by the main gate and biometrics system too. It's's almost impossible for thieves to steal the vehicle because of the security in place. The guards know their staff, including all other personnel on site. They have backup generators in place in case of load shedding, including emergency lights.

The residents would make a lot of noise, and at times, we could hardly cope with it. The backup generator, at times, will power on and off. It was an extremely cold weekend. We didn't have an electric blanket or a heater on site. It was unbearable at times as a result.

The food at the restaurant, the rooms are nice and spacious and the Lagoon is so beautiful and chilled. 👌

The bed was not comfortable. The place is big, we struggled to get the unit allocated to us.

The entire stay was a nightmare. When we arrived there power was out( load shedding) of which I felt there should at least be a backup. Well power came back and still our unit specifically had no power so instead of cooking as planned we had to go out to buy food. Getting out of the gate was a mission. We waited there for close to an hour the security officers were saying we should have a link that allow us to go in and out but when we called the host for a link he had no idea why the link and when did all this link thing started.Following morning when we were about to go out, our car was clamped and we had a note of R500 fine on top of the car. Mind you we were at the right parking. Called for assistance and they kept on saying they are coming to unclamp it because it was wrongly clamped but we waited more than 2 -3 hours. Now it was already late we couldn’t even go to the lagoon and enjoy as hoped for. The service was very very bad

the place is extremely beautiful, and peaceful. the beach is splendid it’s like I was out of this country.
