Centrally located to popular restaurants and shops within walking distance.

No designated parking for guest. No free parking. No prior arrangement offer or accommodations to assist guest with parking. Place desperately needs upgrades. Old musty smell in bedroom, stains on bed comforter. Filthy bathroom from ceiling to floor. Place was kept freezing day/night. Basement where washer/dryer is looks like something from a horror movie. Host had nonchalant attitude when asked for assistance. I requested a refund on day one of check in and was told no refund. I stayed two weeks of a 30 day stay and during that time I had my vehicle impounded, and received 3 parking citations. I was told by the property owner/host that “most” guest don’t come with their own transportation and those that do park a block or two away to avoid parking violations. Well those 1-2 blocks away were packed liked sardines and I never once found an open spot. The area is a residential area so naturally the residents who are allowed to obtain parking permits are the ones who fill the street parking areas. Any guests that must have private transportation are pretty much out of luck. One thing I am still trying to figure out is that a sign at entrance of the one shared bathroom has a note that says “ do not turn light on after 11pm”? How is one supposed to use the bathroom? In the dark? Needless to say, I took all I could, wasted money and lost money. Worst experience in my history of travel stays.

The place is a rooming house. I was in the Cascade room on the second floor. It's self check in to the house and a lock box is on the door knob to the Cascade room. The room and closet was a nice size. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was clean. It's safe for a single female. You pay $1.50 for the washing machine and the dryer is free. It takes 20 minutes to get to downtown Seattle. Take the 49 or 70. The place is okay temporarily if you're transitioning to Washington.

Cascade room is cold. They provided a heater which heats the place quite nicely. There is mold around the bathtub and the window that protrudes into the bathtub. It appears the fan in the ceiling in the bathroom has never been cleaned. Debris was in the fan. If you have allergies or asthma this may be a problem. There is a sign by the lights to the bathroom not to turn the light on after 11 pm. This may be a problem if you have to use the bathroom at night.
