The food was amazing, the hottub was freshly cleaned. The cabin was lovely. As a small improvement you could put a couple of hooks up for your towels by the hottub and advise guests to bring flip flops for navigating the stones around it (we were forever walking dirt through the house from the soles of our wet feet) 😬

The shower was a bit temperamental and the lakes resident Swan decided it didn't like me sitting on the steps in the morning.....

Lovely restaurant and bar at the Hunters Moon Lodge with exceptional food and great service. Although we stayed in the middle of winter our lodge Magpie 6 was very well heated and comfortable and also enjoyed the lovely hot tub.

The bed was amazing as was the location.

No heating when we arrived. The staff did sort it out quickly but it took hours for the lodge to heat up. The hot tub was incredibly difficult to get into. It's quite high and there's no step or anything to help you get in. I used one of the patio chairs as a step.

The setting, the hot tub

Would not call the lodge luxury. Needed a bit of tlc and lounge area could have been made more cosy with a rug and more cushions, thicker curtains etc.. although everything worked, things like taps were loose and blinds were broken. Lodge was clean but bedroom furniture and posts on four poster bed were dusty. Outside light at front of lodge but no light at side by car and hot tub. It’s these little things that make luxury.

The cabin is cozy, and bed super comfortable. Hottub wonderful. The privacy walls very thought out. The whole weekend was relaxing (ignoring toilet issue). Very quiet surroundings, with a lovely little lake right outside your front door Weather was ideal, allowing us to sit outside a lot.

The biggest issue was the toilet. There was a plumbing issue where the flush would make very load noise when flushed. Sometimes lasted up to 5 minutes. Told the office, they were aware but couldn't do anything about it then. New toilet needed to be installed. We were to just ignore it!! Kitchen is poorly supplied. Only 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons. No can opener, corkscrew, whisk. Bring your cling film, tupperware, kitchen towel, dish soap, drying towels, Very dusty furniture all around. The outside area around hottub needed maintaining. Dead leaves all around tub. I had to scrub the two garden chairs just so I could use them. Message in visitors book. "All non-urgent" calls out from office will incur a £25 charge. I felt somewhat ambivalent about ringing regarding the toilet.

Beautiful surroundings with lots of trees, wildlife, lakes and a river. Nice big bedroom with comfy bed. Charlotte was very welcoming and helpful too! Great restaurant on site (The Lodge). If you go out at night take care not to step on any frogs.

There weren't any steps to get into/out of the hot tub. To be fair though, we didn't ask if there were any. They may of been able to provide some if we'd of asked. There are a few small things that could be improved on, but nothing that ruined our stay or that would stop us going back again, we'd love to go back in the future.

Location was good

Property was a bit tired. Some items in the property needed fixing such as loose toilet seat/ broken blinds in kitchen and generally needed a good update.

I loved the location, furniture and hot tub were amazing and just what I wanted for my mini honeymoon. Overall we are veryhappy with our stay and would definitely book a lodge at Hunters Moon again.

The appliances could do with changing and some are in very average used condition, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for usas we barely ate in and went out to restaurants every day. A few sockets and light bulbs didn’t work when we arrived, but again this wasn’t too bothering. I think now that booking following pandemic have resumed these minor problems should be checked for the future.

The location is lovely, very relax and loads of wildlife right on your doorstep.

The toilet in the bathroom is very noisy when you flush it. Kitchen taps need replacing.
