Peter was a great host. He would do anything in his power to accommodate your every need. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated with a king-sized bed. Large bathroom with a great shower. All the linens were very high quality from the towels to the table napkins. Great breakfast made to order.

Lovely, recently-renovated house in a quiet location but close to town. Peter is an excellent host and provided a great breakfast breakfast for us...

We have no complaints at all although we would have liked a slightly larger bed than the standard double. As a suggestion, it would also be good to include some shampoo/shower gel in the en-suite as most guests would probably expect that nowadays...

The property is beautifully furnished , impeccably clean and in an excellent location . The gig house was an excellent solution for accommodating about half of our party . The breakfast was delicious , plentiful and constantly well cooked . Finally , Peter is an outstanding and attentive host . We will be recommending to our friends and family and plan to book again .

We just had one night here … the hosts were very friendly and have renovated the property to a high standard. The rooms are a good size, with a very comfortable bed and great shower. Located close to the centre of town so was easy to walk to dinner. Great breakfast.

The property was spacious, quiet, clean, and has a garden- in the middle of town. It was lovely! The Gig House has a lovely patio.

The two upstairs rooms share a downstairs bathroom, which may be inconvenient.

Breakfast was lovely- the host was wonderful. He even carried our large suitcases upstairs and then down again when leaving for us.

A very elegant and superbly furnished house in a very pleasant location. Lots of attention to detail: for example, there are fine cotton cloths everywhere. The breakfast was beautifully presented.

Our stay at Kilmorie House was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Peter, one of the owners, warmly greeted us and made us feel incredibly welcome. We genuinely enjoyed the conversations we had with him, and it was clear that he took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with us. He patiently answered all our questions about the home, its history and restoration, the region, and life in Scotland in general. The attention to detail in the house was evident, creating a beautiful and cozy atmosphere where we immediately felt at home. The stunning garden added to the overall charm. The breakfast provided was simply outstanding, with a variety of options for vegetarians. The taste was incredible, surpassing our experiences at other accommodations. Additionally, our room was not only beautiful and comfortable but also impeccably clean. During the absence of the owners, on our final day at Kilmorie House, the mother the other owner, Ian, graciously stepped in to prepare breakfast and successfully maintained the exceptional quality standards set by the establishment. We highly recommend Kilmorie House for a delightful and memorable stay, complete with enjoyable conversations with the delightful owner, Peter.

I've never given out a 10 on a Booking review before because how can a place be perfect? Kilmorie House exceeded our expectations at every moment. From holding our bags at early arrival, to breakfast and even helping us avoid disasters. A delayed train didn't give us time to wash our laundry in Aberdeen so Peter washed our clothes, dried them overnight and ironed and folded them for us! Kilmorie House is a great example of what happens when a host cares more about the guests then about every pence coming in. We loved our stay so much that we think we'll return to Elgin with Kilmorie House as the destination. Not, the town but this bed and breakfast. What makes this B&B even more extraordinary is the price. I haven't had this level of care even in places costing 3 times as much.

The location was perfect in that it was close to those we were visiting. It was a beautifully remodeled Scottish home and carriage house with lovely antique furnishings. The breakfast room overlooked a pleasant garden. Peter served us a customized to-order delicious breakfast. Peter and Ian were very friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed talking to them. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well!

The weather was unseasonably warm which was a minor inconvenience, as everything cooled down at night.

Centrally located with more than adequate parking. Peter was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. Super comfortable accommodation with an excellent breakfast every morning sourced from quality establishments and suppliers. We simply loved our stay and will be back again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Peter.

Great attention to detail in every way. We felt looked after the minute we stepped across the doorway. Peter was such a lovely host, he gave us local information, a lovely breakfast and interesting chat. Wish we didn't live so close. We would be back often.

Amazing building, warm welcome, super breakfast.

Beautiful property with so much character inside. We had a lovely very large bedroom with en-suite and it was immaculately clean. Bed very comfy (best 3 nights sleep I’ve had in months!) good shower as well. Peter the host was so warm and welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. Cannot fault anything about the property or our stay and would definitely return and recommend! Thankyou Peter for making our stay so lovely ☺️

Had a very pleasant stay at Kilmorie House. The house's location is very good, it's a 10 minute walk from both the train station and the city centre, and just a 5 minute walk away from the old Cathedral ruins. The house itself is gorgeous and our room was spotless, spacious and very cozy. Peter is an excellent host, he was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We really enjoyed our warm, freshly cooked breakfast. His recommendation about where to get dinner in town was spot on too. Would gladly book again.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The owner, Peter, was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Plentiful options for a hearty breakfast, although I can only comment on the lighter option, fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast, splendid! The accommodation is about 10 mins walk to the town centre, with a selection of bars and restaurants. A little more expensive. However, a high quality B&B, 5*, recommended!
