Location, quaint, quiet

No breakfast but that wasn’t the fault of management.

There was no breakfast or food service.

The facility was run down. The sheets were dirty and when we requested new sheets we arrived back later that evening to a bed that was made but the same dirty sheets were still on the bed. I looked at staying at another hotel, but to pay $500 for 2 nights after paying for are room already with no refund available was out of the question. I only saw someone once the enitre time I was there from the staff and that is when we checked in. There was food in the refrigerator from the last guests. I was there for a 30 year military reunion thank goodness we were busy and spent little time in the room. If I was booking.com I wouldn't put my reputation on the line for a mere booking fee.

Very picturesque area. Unfortunately had to cut our stay short due to an impending hurricane. Our kind hostess refunded the days we missed of our vacation.

I don’t know what I liked because the fact that we explained to desk receptionist that we were late due to traffic she was very short and rude and never asked if there was anything we needed! Just gave us a bad feeling of being there!

The hospitality and friendly attitude was not there at all! We were tired and driving for ours and we were never given a friendly welcoming!!!

The room rates are the same for drastically different rooms! I.e. updated vs. Outdated It smells old and like mildew, water damage on lower floors, broken bathroom door.

The place was not how it was described in Booking.com. They have one canoe with no paddles, one kayak and one paddle boat with a broken rudder. There was only one person we saw working. No restaurant, just a tavern which was only open Friday and Saturday. No cable TV. We had to use our own Netflix’s. The beach front wasn’t clean and the whole property needed repairs.

The “balcony” is just a room with a bunch of windows that connects three rooms. Not private at all, ridiculously small for a deluxe and expensive as well. Not considered a deluxe at all.

From the time I checked in, that was the only time I saw anybody who worked there and I stayed for 3 nights, even check out time no one was around I had to leave a note with the key on the main desk.
