Everything. The breakfast and the diners were fantastic. Friendliest family. Quiet, beautiful view on the countryside. Every room has a nice terrace and the place has lots of charm.

It is a bit further away from town on waterfall rd. The tuktuk charges 700lrk. But then you are closer to Ella rock and the waterfall. So for hiking it is well located.

Almost everything. Harry & Damiente really are farmers who genuinely love people and care about their guests. Meals: delicious breakfasts & dinners with many ingredients fresh from the farm (e.g. I loved their beautifully cooked beetroot). Location: looking over a beautiful valley of crops, rice paddies, jungle, birds, squirrels. Wonderful to be away from the tourist packed centre of Ella. Yet it's just a 5 min drive / enjoyable 20min walk from there. Room: very comfortable bed. More than one light in the room (rare in budget guesthouses in Sri Lanka). I had a room above the main house with a private balcony with table & chairs & even better views. A small frog likes to spend time high up on the bathroom wall but was very quiet. I loved this but if you have a phobia of frogs I suggest: get over your fear or book a different room.

Bathroom basin shelf looked like it hadn't been cleaned. (Someone else cleans the room for them I think. I forgot to mention this to them.) Otherwise place was clean.

The view is amazing, the hammock, the bed, it’s all just perfect! Host and hostess go above and beyond for you, the food is so good and straight from their backyard! It’s a 20 minute walk out from Ella town which is super nice, it’s so serene and calm here.

It’s quite a difficult 15 minute tuk tuk ride from Ella centre, costing 800 to 1000 each way.

We had an incredible stay at Farmers Paradise. The hosts are so warm and welcoming and really go the extra mile. The food is delicious and the best we’ve had so far in Sri Lanka. An amazing feast was cooked for us both nights using variety of vegetables from the farm and not one dish tasted the same - sublime! We also did a cookery lesson on our second night and I would highly recommend doing this, along with a guided walk with Ari to the waterfall. Honestly can’t express how fabulous this place is! Thank you so much.

Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 20 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Aussicht und ruhe ist absolut fantastisch. Die Zimmer sind gross und geräumig. Die Gastfamilie ist super freundlich und herzlich. Wir haben 3x bei ihnen zu Abend gegessen. Dies war super lecker und richtig tranditionelle. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieser Unterkunft ein Zimmer buchen.

Harry was lovely and friendly, room had a great view. Was an excellent homestay while still having plenty of privacy. 10/10 would stay again.

New Farmers Paradise is exactly that…paradise. Located a 20min walk from town or a 5min tuk tuk, it’s the most magical spot that looks out over rolling hills and farm land. But what really made the stay so magical was the sweet sweet caring family that took us in and looked after us so lovingly and attentively. We really felt so comfortable and taken care of not to mention the food they prepared for us was insanely delicious, with most of the produce being grown right there on their farm 😍 definitely the best coconut sambal we had during our entire 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Would highly highly recommend this accommodation for your trip to Ella!

Incredibly friendly hosts, and beautiful location. We ate dinner and breakfast at the homestay, both delicious. We also went on a beautiful sunrise hike up Ella Rock guided by the host. Overall a lovely experience and very good value for money - we would definitely stay here again.

Its too far to center .no trasport facilities. some Rooms are having with some problems . But home owners are having a good relationship. They are ffriendly and helpful too. Facilities are little bit poor. It should be correct it. They makes hoppers by artificial instent flour .That's not good for health. Culture is good, Behavior is not bad. When I call comming they won't answer our call. That's not good

The owners were fantastic hosts. Ari was so kind to guide us up the Mountain to Ella rock and took us on paths not mean get see. The Sri Lanka currys and breakfast were fantastic

Diamontes cooking with fresh farm ingredients makes the distance worthwhile. Particularly if you have been travelling for a while and are a little bit over soggy curries that don't taste like anything in particular. We had at least 5 vegie curries every night and she barely repeated a vegetable.. it was incredible. I also have some food intolerance that she took care of beautifully and without fuss. The farm is a beautiful outlook and there are fireflies... so special to see. It is very calm and quiet because it is a long ways out of town.

It is a twenty minute walk out of town but alot of that path is unsealed and not lit. So you need to take a tuk tuk in and out of town.

Incredibles views and breakfast. We felt really well looked after by Ari and his family. They gave us loads of advice of what to do whist we were in Ella. Would highly recommend for anyone going to Ella. Breakfast was mostly grown in their garden so was all very fresh and tasty. Beautiful, quiet location just a km out of town which we loved, it could be walked but is very hilly and dark in the evening, very easy to get a tuk tuk to the hotel from town, around 800lkr. We didn't try dinner at the stay unfortunately due to other plans but definitely would want to next time.

This was a gorgeous, safe and welcoming homestay on a farm in the jungle. Damianti and Ari were always there to offer advice, arrange trips, chat and feed me whenever I wished to join them upstairs. Damianti makes the most delicious traditional curry - the best I have tasted so far in Sri Lanka served with a spectacular view of the mountains and jungle sounds. She also makes a huge breakfast and always offered to pack the leftovers for me when I was heading off for the day. I walked heaps while I stayed with them, it was a stunning 30 minute walk to Ella town, nine arch bridge was an hours walk away and mini Adams peak was about 40 minute walk away. It was a great way to see Ella and their son Janidhu was pretty much always available to tuktuk for cheaper than the 'fixed price' the local drivers give you. Everything was very comfortable and relaxing and I would definitely visit again.

The homestay is further out of Ella city than described - it took a 10 minute tuk tuk to get into town and drivers often charged more as it is a difficult road to get to the homestay. The room and bathroom weren’t clean - bedding, bedroom wall, bathroom and the hair dryer all had mould on.

I loves the location, it's out of the busy city but still easy enough to get to. The tuktuk ride is a bit of an adventure but totally worth it when you see the lovely view and get to chill in nature. I saw the most beautiful birds and felt completely at peace in my hanging chair. You can't put a price on that

Welcoming & caring hosts. Very attentive & helpful. Lots of added extras- freshly picked coconuts, tea, guided sunrise Ella hike, laundry washed, dinner cooked. Plus the amazing varied breakfasts! An 8 min tuktuk drive down waterfall road if have luggage to carry.

Everything at the New Farmers Paradise was perfect, most of all the hosts. They are amazing people. I came in after 18:00 because the train I took was more than one hour late. They welcomed me and had no problem preparing the most delicious dinner. During the dinner, we agreed to go to Ella Rock at 5:00 next morning. We went up in the dark, aided by torches. It was not an easy climb. It took us about one hour. Once on the top, I enjoyed an amazing view, in spite of the sun being behind clouds. Afterward, we went to a waterfall and a few more scenic spots. We were back by 8:30 for a scrumptious breakfast of hoppers, pancakes, eggs, fruit, tea, and a cat as a company. The view from the terrace in front of my room was excellent. Terraced fields of vegetables, coconut trees, and rice fields at the bottom of the valley. Sounds of peacocks and other birds could be heard all day. I talked with the hosts a lot and learned about their lives, family, farming, and many other things. I will come back here if I ever come to Sri Lanka again. I strongly recommend the New Farmers Paradise to anyone looking for a quiet, authentic visit to Sri Lanka filled with unforgettable experiences.

I can absolutely recommend this home stay. the owners are so friendly, kind and helpful! Our room had a wonderful view and we saw many peacocks from the balcony! It was very calm and you can take a rest there from busy Ella :)

A couple of minutes away from Ella we had this room in the farm with beautyful view, super delicious breakfast and dinner from local ingredients fresh from the field and the hospatility from the warm hearted, lovely family. The owner organized even scooters for us and took the time to guide us on a wonderful hiking tour - one of the best experiences of this holidays for us and our kids.

everything was absolutely lovely!!! most beautiful family in the nicest of locations. view was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! the family is wonderful, sweet and caring! Damianti, the mother cooks the yummiest food we have tasted, don’t bother eating western food in town! eat with the family, their home cooking is absolutely fantastic!!! we loved everything so much that we ended up staying 4 nights instead of one! thank you Ari and family!! we miss you already!

we loved everything!!! it’s good to be aware that town is a bit of a walk away but getting a tuktuk is very easy and cheap so no problem at all getting to town. also, Ari and his family will do everything they can to help with arrangements such as a driver, getting train tickets and so on.
