We had agreed to be there between 17h00 and 18h00 - yet there was no one to give us the keys at that time.

We had a lovely time at Canvas, Vathiswa is an exceptional host. She does everything in her power to make you feel comfortable. Depending on your reasons for travelling, the place has everything you need and more. You literally have to bring your luggage and food for your stay, everything else is catered for. She checked on us the next morning to find out if all is in order and that we slept well.🥰🥰 I told her this, that the way they do business with her husband John is really commendable.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor, so can be a bit straneous for travellers with a lot of luggage, but the comfort inside compensates for this. Investment in a small portable study desk and chair would really be helpful for working from home travelers. These can be stored in the wardrobe and only used when there is a need.

The owner of the apartment was extremely aggressive and she came into the apartment and removed the keys before my check out time. She brought her child and husband along and was shouting in the complex because I said her service isn’t good and she is unprofessional. I don’t recommend anyone stay here. She was wild and very intimidating

A beautiful very clean and tastefully furnished apartment. Very quiet and safe complex. Loved the clean hotel quality bedding and modern electronics. The apartment had free wifi and every entertainment on TV you would like besides just dstv. A very private apartment too and quiet neighbours. Perfect for one person. Vathiswa was a super host and made sure to contact me within minutes of booking to send me Location and check in details on my whatsapp number. This is not very common for airbnb. Most hosts don't contact on whatsapp. This was very convenient considering I really needed an urgent solution on the day I booked the apartment. Thank you 😊 really

A bit of a surprise there was no basics like coffee/tea and sugar. Something I didn't realize I needed to bring along but wasn't too much an issue. Could be if you don't have a car and need to still go out and do shopping. I was not happy with the gate rules that Uber can't come it to collect but they let me in on arrival. Despite telling them I had suitcases and the complex is quite big. So I ended up canceling my Uber 3 times due to them being refused entry and Uber not willing to wait. The host did everything in her power to sort this little issue out. So I don't blame the host. I'm just wondering what would happen if i went out at night and needed to be dropped of? The complex is big and wouldn't feel comfortable just being dropped at the gate middle of the night. I think this is something that can be worked out with the gate to allowe guests of these types of apartments in if you're not a resident. Especially since they call the host for entry. There would be no risk in anyone else coming in besides the guest. Otherwise I honestly wouldn't fault anything on the apartment or the host. Vathiswa was a super host and would definitely consider coming back if the need arises. Thank you Vathiswa. Loved your place

Quiet Clean Comfortable Safe

Modern, bright, cozy, quiet.

It was not in area I expected, directions were confusing, so I had to travel great distance to my work. Was a bit suprised the apartment was on fourth floor with only steps.

Everything was amazing! All necessities were available with a few added extras, like hot sauce, flavoured teas and a lamp incase load shedding hit.

Everything, the owners are friendly & would do just about anything in their means to ensure that you enjoy your stay. The place is too clean. Definitely going back again.
