The house was fabulous for our large group. Beds were comfortable and the living rooms were huge with comfortable lounges.

Upstairs floors needs a proper scrub

Xanadu was a very good house in a good location, close to the beach. Only about a hour drive to Port Adelaide for the National Railway and Plane Museums. Quite a few good take away and restruants in the area. Also a laundromat close by if you have more washing or drying than the clothes line can handle / inclement weather.

Few small issues when we arrived but were all discussed and resolved when speaking to the property manager.

The property is in a quiet area, very spacious with two living areas and the beds were comfortable.

The listing is incorrect, it states there are three bathrooms when there is one tight bathroom on the ground floor servicing four bedrooms, and upstairs an ensuite for bed 1 and a powder room (toilet and basin only). This should be 2.5 bathrooms The communication process with the booking agent was terrible, sending many generic emails reminding you to do things you had already done, convoluted emails on how to use their online registration system, you have wifi available but it may or may not be limited at some properties and to contact the agent if you have a problem, the keys will be at the property then the day before you need to bring your ID to pick up the keys - on a public holiday and only the office number to call! In the end they sent the code for the lock box at the property. Throughout the communication process the staff blamed the correspondence on Bookings.com but that's no excuse for irrelevant and confusing generic messages. The outdoor areas and large windows face West, with no outdoor sun protection there is nowhere to sit outside and enjoy the view or space until sunset. The lighting in the kitchen needs attention as this is essentially non existent. We needed to move a lamp to the kitchen to do the most basic of chores like washing up.

House was fantastic for a larger group, easy driving distance to shops, nice walking track above beach.

Lighting inside the house during the evening could be improved.
