The cabin was cozy. It is in a nice and quiet area which made it relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and we had family stay in the bunkhouse which was nice as well. Good size property and plenty of things to do near by. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely stay again.

This was one of the nicest properties I’ve stayed at in Raystown. The cabin itself was very clean and had lots of essentials provided; towels, shampoo, kitchen supplies, lots of fire wood, and plenty of seating. Check in process was fairly simple and we were very happy to be able to get an early check in as well. Melissa was great to communicate with and responded in a very timely manner. Will love to be back in the future!

Very clean and orderly. Private location. They were very welcoming of pets . I would definitely consider staying again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here while visiting our daughter for family weekend at Juniata College. My daughter also stayed over one night. Extremely clean and well equipped house, beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay again when we visit her. Only slight thing to be aware of is it's a pretty long gravel road to get to the house so be aware if that's an issue for your car (it was fine for us).

Overall, we loved everything. The owners were so nice and easy to communicate with. I felt a real connection with the history of the cabin, Animal House. We love all animals! Thank you so much for allowing us to share your special place. The Bunkhouse was so nice. We plan on returning!

I can not say enough how nice this property is. Melissa is very prompt in communicating. The cabin was very clean. The cabin was cutely decorated. There are so many things provided and also notes explaining procedures that it really made me feel like she thought of everything to make people happy and comfortable! The outside and deck area are impressive and had plenty of seating. The cabin is in a great location for a multitude of outdoor activities and also not far from stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful few days and wished we could have stayed longer!

Family stayed for a long weekend. Had everything we needed. The covered outdoor patio was the best. Spent lots of time reading and playing card games. Loved all the little notes to help acclimate us to the property.

This is our 3rd year to the area, and by far our favorite house thus far. The house was extremely clean, and well stocked. Our kids loved playing out back, and so did the dogs! We had friends camping over on the Juniata river, so it took us about 30min to get there, and 40 to seven points. It was so nice to have everything there we needed, next time will save me a ton of packing! Our only issue is the bed was a tempurpedic or something, and my husband who is 3 times my size would go to bed first - I would roll into him, almost like an air mattress would. Thankfully most nights I was so exhausted from activities I would fall asleep putting my boys down or on the couch 😝. Overall, amazing home, and Melissa was so sweet to work with! We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were pleasantly surprised. The directions to the property were spot on, and when we arrived the property was exactly as described. There was plenty of things to do at the property, and as an extra bonus there was an awesome booklet with the history of the property. The grandchildren enjoyed making smores in the firepit, as well as playing the games supplied by the host. The property was far enough away from the busy areas, but close enough to be able to run to town for necessities (ran out of eggs...LOL) It was an awesome weekend, and we will be returning.

Was very pleased at how beautiful the property was decorated. Melissa has fully stocked and furnished the home with the essentials. The bunk house was amazing. also. Melissa was very responsive, and property was as described. Will definitely stay there again.

From the start, Communication was A+ from Melissa. She was very quick to respond to any question. The house was very clean and the AC worked great! The kitchen was loaded with dishes, pots and pans, spices, saran wrap, foil, even cooking oil, brown sugar...little things you may have forgotten, etc. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets and towels. The check in/out process was easy. Very nice just having a doorcode. We LOVED the porch area. That's where we spent most of our time. The fire pit area was nice. Plenty of seating and there were marshmallow sticks. We also had our son and his family stay in the "bunkhouse" which they loved.Such a great space!! The only downfall is that it's wasnt close to Tatman Run where we swam everyday(25mins away) but I knew when I booked it was a little farther. Friday and Saturday nights the atvs were pretty loud going back and forth, but I already knew that from looking at reviews. We have rented many cabins and this one had alot of "stuff", you could almost say "clutter" but it was part of the decor and it really didnt get in the way.

We had a wonderful time and the place is beautiful and accomodations were great if you have pets or children

Beautiful home, very cozy and relaxing. The covered deck was our favorite, spacious and beautifully decorated.

This cottage is in a very peaceful location, no traffic noise. We had breakfast on the screen- in porch while listening to many birds singing in the woods. It is very clean and has a great kitchen. We would go back again.

First, the communication with Melissa was amazing. She responded to every question I had in a super timely fashion. She was also accommodating when I asked for an additional hour for checkout. Second, once we arrived at the house it instantly felt like we were at home. A kitchen fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, spices/seasonings, a washer and dryer, TVs, and pictures on the walls. I brought my own dog bowls, but she had 2 bowls and a kennel if needed. She had seat covers just in case the dogs got on the couch. And outside, attached to one of the trees there is a rope with a latch so you can put the dog outside and wander around a little. Third, the lights on the deck, at night, are amazing. It really set a scene. Last, there were plenty of sheets, blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies. I highly reccomend it.

Nice quiet cabin in the woods. We had a great trip and the host went above and beyond to provide so many extra amenities at this property. We would definitely stay again.

Melissa's Vrbo is welcoming, relaxing, quiet. The TLC put into this home where the owner has fond childhood memories (story in the guestbook) is evident by all the little touches inside and out. You won't be disappointed if you choose this home. It is closer to Lake Raystown Resort and Tatman Run than the visitor's center and Seven Points but we only went there one day and didn't mind the drive. We enjoyed hiking and sight seeing on the east side of the lake.

Melissa is an excellent owner. She was kind, friendly and available. The premises were clean and there was not a thing we needed, indoors or out. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great area outside for S’mores and story telling. The teens enjoyed the trails to ride.

We had a very nice time and made some great memories. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant, comfortable stay. Would recommend.

This was our 2nd year staying here and it did not disappoint in any way. Beautiful, clean and so relaxing. We went to Kelly's Korner as recommended by Melissa and it was Excellent from the staff to the food. Highly recommend it to others to do so if you haven't already.

This cottage was everything I wanted and more. The cottage was extremely clean, quiet and the owners had supplied extras just in case you forgot something. The outside was also wonderful from the patio to the firepit. Relaxing by a fire at night was a great way to end the day. I would recommend this cabin to all. The owners returned all my messages immediately and answered all my questions. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

This is an absolute gem. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need and more. A nice quiet place with beautiful scenery. It was a nice change for this Florida girl and a perfect place to make memories with my family.

The cabin was excellent, the property is very well kept. The cabin was very clean in a very peaceful mountain side location. Only 26 minutes from tatman run boat launch. Made for a great weekend fishing trip.

Very nice area. Close enough to penn state to make an afternoon trip. Far enough away from everything to just relax.Comfy accommodations.
