Michelle was proactive with us and helped us so much along the way, and answered our many questions giving advice about things to do, places to eat, massage recommendations, and so much more! David and Michelle’s home was wonderful and so peaceful and just what our busy lives needed, where we had tranquility, a beautiful view, could see wildlife, and so much more. We enjoyed our stay so much and if we ever came again to Costa Rica we would stay there again! They are wonderful hosts and their home does not disappoint. We loved our Christmas in this amazing country.

The property is absolutely gorgeous, the hosts are wonderful. It was a bit difficult to get to and I would highly recommend a 4x4. The views for sure made it worth it. One of our the air conditioners did not work and a repair man was unable to come out, but the hosts did everything in their power to ensure our comfort. Overall a good experience, we would go back to visit for sure.

This was our first time leaving the US and it was the perfect place for us to land to really get away and relax without the stressers that can come with being in unfamiliar territory. The hosts were incredibly helpful and hospitable in every way possible for our first time out! We could not be more grateful for the information and available help that they provided us. The location was fun to get to and the prize was phenomenal! That view from the rooms and pool deck were nothing short of 5+ stars! Michelle and David are a true delight - each of them. In a place so far away from home, we still felt right at home and luxurious at the same time. After 5 days back at our own home we were both wishing we could be back there. We hope to get to stay there again soon and - next time - longer. We were actually hesitant to give our honest rave review because we selfishly want it available to us! Michelle and David were excellent hosts! The space they provided was far beyond our expectations - even with the beautiful photos. They exude the meaning of Pura Vida!

This place is simply amazing!! The pictures do not truly show the breathtaking beauty of this home. We traveled with another couple & we have already discussed a return visit - the home was extremely clean - wifi was not spotty, ac is a plus - everything you needed is available -if not just ask — Michelle/David are more than flexible the road is tricky & definitely recommend a 4x4 - bring sneakers as you can walk the “road” & the views are worth it - Jaco is a laid back town - you dont need fancy clothes- Michelle & David went over & beyond in making our stay one of the most memorable trips ever - they are in the same property but you would NEVER know - michelle does have info on a taxi service, private chef, masseuse - which we personally used - if you are looking to do nothing but relax & take a break from real life - this is the place to be - out of 8 days - we left once & that is because we needed groceries — i highly recommend staying here - you will not be disappointed - five star +++++++ rating from the 4 of us..

Michelle and David thank you so much for one of the best times in our lives. Your home has the perfect name and is beautifully decorated with attention to detail and clean inside and out with lushly landscaped grounds. Although we did have a few issues with several of the amenities during our visit, the hosts addressed them and made us feel a sense of calmness, love and privacy. We really enjoyed our day trip to the National Park @ Manuel Antonio with our guide Frank. The beach at Hermosa is perfect for for catching the surfers and doing some body boarding. One of our highlights was personal Chef Emerson who prepared a delicious traditional Costa Rican dinner for us. Much gratitude for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise. We will be back for some more Pura Vida!

Cannot say enough about this property as it has a fantastic view of the ocean and forest. We ventured out daily to take various tours and always looked forward to returning mid afternoon to enjoy the pool and lounge area. David and Michelle were exceptional hosts and we enjoyed spending time with them. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

This was an absolutely magical visit. The views were spectacular, accommodations top-rate, and David and Michelle are such wonderful, lovely, and helpful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the surrounding wildlife and daily morning walks on the mountain. David and Michelle made us feel right at home. What an amazing spot in the world and the hosts, Michelle and David, were beyond gracious and accommodating! We loved every minute of our stay and enjoyed all that came with it. My friend and I came for a week of enjoying nature, both the sights during the day and the stars at nights. The experience was nothing less than outstanding. I liked it so much I booked a 2.5 week stay in March of 2024. A special message to anyone interested in astronomy. This location is great. Located at the top of the cerro fresco mountain at 1200 ft and about 4 miles as the crow flies to the ocean. Most nights were clear at sunset, and if cloudy, the skies cleared by midnight. Got some of my best photos ever with my digital telescope. David and Michelle are absolutely lovely hosts and went above and beyond to insure we have a great time. Staying here will be a wonderful experience for you. I guarantee it.

What can I say? This place is truly magical. I have tears in my eyes as I type this. I will tell you right now, you will NEVER want to leave. David and Michelle are the most gracious hosts you will have the pleasure to know. My husband and I now consider them friends. We cannot wait to visit Costa Rica again and will most definitely stay at Pedazo de Cielo. It truly is a little piece of heaven. <3

We were initially concerned about privacy with the owners living onsite. First, they are 2 of the nicest most welcoming people I have ever met in my life. They gave us total privacy. I actually regret not making time for a glass of wine or cocktail with them in the evening. Next time! (We booked 2 weeks next year!). The pool and view cannot be beat. This setup was perfect for us!

Michelle and David are wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to have an amazing stay in their beautiful home. We forgot our binoculars and they were gracious enough to lend us theirs. We enjoyed the very thoughtful welcome gift very much! We will be back!

This is the place for privacy and luxury while still being close to a town. David and Michelle are awesome hosts. They are there if you need them without invading your privacy. The place is beautiful and comfortable. Just like being at home. You will not be disappointed in this property!! A big plus is zuri. The resident dog! So cute and playful. The wildlife is amazing. We had monkeys, igauanas, birds, macaws , dart frogs and can’t forget the cat shadow!!

What an amazing stay we had @ Pedazo De Cielo. From the gracious, welcoming hosts( David and Michelle ),to the amazing property with spectacular views, it was nothing short of perfect. They greeted us with a smile in heavy rain and helped us with our luggage:) David and Michelle go above and beyond taking care of their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening conversation at their front porch around sunset. House is gorgeous and pictures do not do justice. Every morning we sat and had our tea & watched the monkeys swing through the trees eating dates! The toucans were everywhere! So the Red Mcaws!!! The drive from the airport was easy, the road up the mountain to the house dirt and rocky but added an element of fun to it. Great location near beautiful beaches, good restaurants, Manuel Antonio, and more!! Michelle even helped us arranging an amazing dinner cooked by personal chef and owner of @zonakatelier @keniasalaschef .The food was so delicious that we still have taste in our mouths. Hands down they have been the best hosts ever, can’t wait to return! Thank you to David and Michelle for opening up your paradise to allow others to experience the beauty and oasis in Jaco.

We were a group of four consisting of two couples. All of us had an amazing time. The view is unbelievably beautiful, and the pool area and outdoor seating areas were outstanding. Michelle and David are very kind and gracious hosts. We saw some very cool wildlife including the big group of monkeys that all hang out on one tree in the mornings. The one thing that I would caution is that the road up the mountain can be a challenge to navigate, particularly during or right after rain (and at night). We had a four-wheel drive vehicle so while it was a bumpy ride, we were able to make it up and down several times throughout our stay. I personally would not want to try that in a sedan, though I am sure some people do without any significant issues. I truly hope that we are able to stay there again in the future to enjoy the pura vida!

What a perfect place! Away from the crowds and noises with incredible views. Absolutely delightful hosts. We actually got married on the patio by the pool. It was literally as good as it gets.

From the location of the property, to the hosts, to the wildlife and views- we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Michelle and David went above and beyond to ensure our stay was an absolute dream. Close to the beach but a full jungle experience. This property is breath taking and we cannot wait to come back.

The house is spectacular and the same can be said about the hospitality of our hosts. They did everything and more to make us feel at home. We enjoyed the views, the pool, and the house. There is lots to do and see in the area and so we filled our 6-day stay and truly regretted that we had to leave and go back home. Our hosts allowed us to arrive a day early due to a tropical storm in the location where we were coming from -- this was super nice. We highly recommend booking this house and will come back, if time permits.

So we come to the end of this 3 week vacation. Definitely my very favorite thing that we did was our photos that we arranged to have done on the beach. We definitely lived it up…zip lining, atv tours, crocodile tours, exploring the beaches, horseback riding, chocolate tour, waterfalls, miles of walking the beach, and so much more. The monkeys and iguanas at the house everyday was fun to watch too. Oh and the food, food and more food. The house and pool are amazing with amazing sunrise and sunset views. Everything about this place is amazing! The house is spacious and clean with plenty of hot water and everything you need is provided. Michelle and Dave were extremely welcoming and accommodating in every way! We will be staying here again next time we return to Jaco.

What an amazing stay we had at Pedazo de Cielo, if we could give it 1000 stars we would. The property is beautiful and really well maintained! Our first trip up the mountain felt long and a little scary but by the end we were pros! It was definitely worth the trip. We very much enjoyed our time on the mountain and found it relaxing to be away from all the hubub in Jaco or even at Playa Hermosa. Our goal was a relaxing vacation without too many activities. We did spend time at Playa Jaco, Play Hermosa, Playa Herredura, went to Carrara national Park, and a Buggy ride to waterfall. We also spent days just enjoying the pool and the view. We met the resident iguanas and saw Toucans, monkeys and may other birds. The host and hostess were very sweet and helped us with everything we needed. The house is well provisioned, and we felt both welcome and cared for!

There is not enough room to capture all the amazingness of the property, the people, homeowners and all the local folks who were part of our vacation. Michelle is super responsive and attentive, the views, the sounds, the serenity - it's difficult to put into words. We are already planning our return vacation. Most reviews do mention the trek up the mountain is a trek lol - it's an adventure, but good to just understand it isn't as easy as popping to the grocery store at home. We will book a personal chef next time and pre-arrange the nights we want transportation into town. Thank you to David and Michelle for opening up your paradise to allow others to experience the beauty and oasis in Jaco. Jorge and Carlito whom were referred for transportation and excursions are now friends :) Cannot say enough about the relationships and memories made!

I’ve been visiting this area for 15 years and this is the best short term rental I’ve had the pleasure of staying! The view from the pool and each room is breathtaking! Found ourselves never wanting to leave. The host, David and Michelle, are two of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. I’ll definitely return.

The view is wonderful. The pool is perfect. Close to Jaco. David and Michelle were very helpful with where to go and what to do, and a joy to visit with.

I mean- the view is amazing. Breakfast with the toucans and macaws. Lunch with the lizards. Psychedelic frogs join for dessert. We didn’t see the monkeys, but heard them. Phenomenal beachfront restaurants minutes away. The accommodations are VERY comfortable. But…… ALL this PALES in comparison to the hosts. David is very kind. And, in all of my travels around the globe- I have never experienced the hospitality of Michelle. She went to every possible effort to ensure your stay is AMAZING!!!! They are there if/when you need them- and leave you alone otherwise.
