The room was clean and modern, comfortable and attractive. We could use the upstairs porch with wonderful views of the sea. And the B and B is located right on the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Good restaurant on beach for free breakfast and good dinners and snacks. Rosa gave us a ride to the Ancient Greek theatre and temple and then to train station. We tried to pay her for this but she did not want money. She is very nice. We were very happy with our stay.

i really had a great time at the Iris Hostel, the location is amazing, you wake up in front of the see, it is a dream. The room was perfectly equipped and really cosy. The people in Metaponto are all really nice. Thank you so much !

Top apt with a great view. Not sure how this will work during the summer, as it is directly on the beach, so maybe with big noises from outside. We were there in November and were almost alone in the city, so there was no noises at all exept from the sea waves which was fantastic.

All was cool and Super good. Thanks to the property.

Close to the beach. Ocean and mountain views from the roof top terrace. Monsoon shower with plenty of hot water.

As requested I advised my estimated time of arrival the day before and confirmed on the day. However I was still waiting 40 minutes to be checked in. I had to point out that the description clearly stated that all rooms had balconies but mine did not although I did have use of the roof top patio. Furthermore the windows were opaque so I could not see outside which could be claustrophobic to some people. At 2am someone entered the block and the outside light was so bright that it woke me up. The blinds were not adequate to cut it out. When I asked for the wifi code I was told that I had to pay for it when booking so I showed the confirmation which showed that wifi was free so I was given the code. I also had to ask about breakfast and again had to show the confirmation to show that it was included. I was told to go to a cafe around 2 miles away so it was a good job I had a car.

Clean, new, well taken care of, and the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. They put so much effort into caring for their guests that it makes you feel like you’re staying with family. Absolute must-stay!
