Great place, would highly recommend! Great for extended family, has a separate entrance with 4 beds and bath for a family plus two bedrooms in the main house. Everything was clean, had everything you needed: towels, everything for the beach, tennis courts, pickle ball. The yard was amazing, fruit trees. If we ever get back to Hawaii would definitely go back to this house! Also, the North Shore was so amazing, beautiful and fun!!

We came to the north shore for a swim race and found this amazing property to host us. The house is set up the hill from the Pupkea market and Sharks Cove, placing it in the perfect position to get you to the best beaches on the North Shore. We found we were often opposite traffic so staying there alleviated a lot of wasted time in traffic.
The house had everything we needed and we especially appreciated the beach amenities (towels, chairs, body boards, umbrella, coolers, and the fab laundry facilities). The tennis court was wonderful as we used it for futbol, pickle/paddle ball, training and other games. The grounds offered fresh limes and avocados from their trees.
Perfect sunsets and sunrises and green, green, green. I had a great race and my family very much enjoyed the solitude and restorative space that this special house offered. Highly recommended with aloha.

Good location, clean, good views. Pickleball court was awesome. Unfortunately, we had a problem that was not handled in a timely manner. We came back from wedding at 11 pm and the downstairs unit's lock was broken and 3 members of our party were locked out. Called emergency contact but the woman who was very nice and helpful was unable to contact anyone to help. 3 people had to sleep upstairs as they were locked out. Finally did get a hold of help the next morning and it was unlocked then. This was quite a big deal to be locked out all night and it was very disappointing not to be addressed on an emergent basis

Our family absolutely loved staying at this property! It was everything we could have hoped for. The house was spacious with room for everyone. We had 8 people in our group, including adults, teenagers, and younger children. It was perfect for our group. The house was very well equipped, and perfectly maintained. The air conditioning was a welcome treat after warm days at the beach! We especially enjoyed lounging on the large deck, playing pickleball in the evenings, and strolling the large acre lot. The house was also stocked with all the beach supplies a large family might need (snorkle gear, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc). The entire stay was a 10 out of 10!

Our three generation family had a great stay at this home. The teens enjoyed the tennis/pickle ball court and the adults enjoyed the expansive deck and views. The location was a mile drive to the beach and grocery and north shore activities in a quiet residential neighborhood. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking in and the garage had a grill and fun family outdoor games. Lots of room to spread out!

We really didn't know what to expect, except that it would be able to provide a relaxing retreat and accommodate our extended family of 10. Clear instructions were provided for us to access the property and house. I had a question, so I sent an email at around midnight before our check-in. I did not expect a reply until later in the morning, but received an answer almost immediately! We were very pleased with the pleasant responsiveness of the property management company who checked in with us almost daily to make sure everything was going well.We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the property was. Though it was an older house, it was very well-kept and clean. The living room furnishings were nice, clean and comfortable with a big-screen tv (the bedrooms had tvs too), and a fully-supplied kitchen. A huge lanai wrapped around nearly half of the house facing the ocean with tables and chairs to enjoy the beautiful view.Out of all the wonderful things about this property (safe, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful yard and tennis/pickle ball court we were able to enjoy), there were only two things that made it a little challenging. 1) We had two elderly members who struggle with balance, so it was somewhat difficult for them to enter the deep bathtub or step over the high shower lip. (It wasn't a problem for the rest of us.) 2) Because of the huge interior, there were many light switches, and it took time for us to find the right ones to turn some of the lights on and off.All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing time at this beautiful property, and we all agreed it was a great choice! We highly recommend it!

My friends and I had rented this spot for the Honolulu marathon. The property was BEAUTIFUL. The location was very close to all the beaches and even a foodland at the bottom of the hill. The hosts were super helpful as well. Definitely would love to return again!

Drinking coffee on the deck every morning with a beautiful view of the water was one of the highlights of our stay. I would recommend staying here if you want to enjoy a relaxing time in Hawaii. This place was absolutely stunning sitting up on the bench above beautiful Waimea Valley. They had literally everything you need for a fabulous vacation to Hawaii when you can't possibly pack everything with you on the airplane. Snorkel Gear, Coolers, Chairs, etc. Pickleball/Tennis court on your private, fenced one acre lot with fruit trees is a huge draw for me. Unless you have to be right on the beach this place is highly recommended.

Property is beautiful. When we first got there the house was hot and stuffy so we thought we had made a huge mistake. Don’t think like we did! It’s absolutely the most peaceful, and comfortable place. Plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Speaker, pickle ball gear, towels, chairs, ukulele!, you wish it, they have it. We were super lucky to have been able to stay there and would stay again without any hesitation!

The Pupukea house was such a great stay. We stayed with a group of friends and there was plenty of space and accommodations to keep us entertained the entire time. The yard is amazing and we spend lots of time at the house because of it. It is in a great location on the north shore and we were rught by everything we wanted to do there. There is a grocery store that is super close which was a huge plus. I do recommend having a car while staying because the neighborhood is not easily walkable to the town or to get out but it was never a probes and the drive is very scenic. Higly recomend this house the mantra of it is delightful.

My family and I cannot express how beautiful and enjoyable our stay was at this home! It had everything that we needed to feel as if we were living in this home for years. From the awesome amenities such as cookware, beach towels, games for the kids (not to mention the tennis court), beach chairs, and more! This place really exceeded our expectations. We loved waking up every morning and seeing the breathtaking views from the porch while enjoying our coffee (definitely miss it!). We cannot be more grateful for our amazing stay here and the kindness of the property owners. Everything went seamless and had zero issues or concerns. I would highly recommend this property to everyone! Looking forward to returning here sometime in the future.

I stayed with a graduating group of chiropractors and had a great time! The view was beautiful and plenty of land to walk around and explore. The house had a bit of a cabin-ey smell but it was no problem at all. Air conditioning was a big plus and every necessity was basically provided by the host. We made great use of the grill, beach gear, outdoor shower, and even the pickle ball court!

This VRBO was the exact kind of house I wanted to stay in for my wedding!!! My husband and I got married in Waimea Valley, and this VRBO was literally only 1 mile away from Waimea. Not only was it super close to our wedding venue, but the house itself was GORGEOUS.
The backyard not only had a ton of space (and a private TENNIS COURT for you to use!!), but also a stunning view of the ocean and mountains.
It was also a great location in North Shore -- super close to big tourist areas like Haleiwa, Giovanni's, and more!
The house itself also provided ALL THE AMENITIES we needed!!! They had all the kitchen utensils and supplies we needed (including spices, cooking supplies, etc), laundry (washer and dryer), and even gear for snorkeling, going to the beach, and boogie boarding.
A group of 10 of us stayed in the house (including 2 infants), and it was just the right amount of space! There was plenty of room for parking, too!
To top it all off, ALL THE BEDROOMS HAD AIR CONDITIONING!!
The beds and bathroom linens were SO CLEAN and smelled amazing (love the smell of freshly cleaned linens/laundry) and the house was well-maintained.
I highly recommend if you are staying in Hawaii for a few days or a few weeks!!!

Don't hesitate if you are thinking of booking your vacation here! Our stay with our 4 adult children was beyond comfortable and loads of fun. The house is spotless with an attractive mid-century modern vibe, the mattresses are very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with anything you might need (including an impressive array of spices), and the garage is well stocked with beach and pickleball equipment. We cooked every night and played pickleball every morning. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked very well at night and fans kept the house cool in the daytime. Perhaps the most wonderful amenities are the beautiful yard and gardens. You can enjoy your own private daily botanical walk just wandering around the fruit trees, tropical flowers and fragrant citrus blossoms. Yes, the downstairs bedroom/bathroom suite (with four twin beds) is a separate entrance from the rest of the house but that worked out just fine with our 21 and 20 year olds. Beaches, snorkeling and horseback riding are a short and pleasant drive away, and there is a hiking trail right by the house that two of our kids took advantage of every morning. There is a small but surprisingly well-stocked grocery store at the bottom of the hill as well, super convenient. This house was the perfect homebase to all of the north shore beaches, Turtle Bay, Waimea Botanical Gardens and Waterfall, the Dole Plantation, and Historic Haleiwa. We hope to return to Pupukea again someday!

House was beautiful with hawaiian culture inside and out. Enjoyed the fruits of Hawaii located on the property. Enjoyed the tennis courts. Kitchen was completely stocked with anything you would ever need. The neighbors were very friendly and were there is answer questions when we had them. I would have preferred to had the ability to use the circle driveway. Backing out of one gate was tricky at times. The downstairs third bedroom was awesome but window coverings for the morning sun and privacy would have been nice. Would recommend this property to anyone. I was born and raised on Oahu and this house represents the Hawaiian culture and spirit. Mahalo and Aloha.

This is a nice house that provides everything you need for a multi-generational vacation. However, you must know ahead of time, the room that is clearly designated and designed for children is not connected to the main house. It has a separate entrance, a separate code and you will not hear anyone inside it. I would not recommend this rental if you are intending to use that room for babies, toddlers, tweens or even teenagers with anxiety. Fortunately my parents agreed to stay in it and my children stayed in the main house. Otherwise it was a fantastic property. Lots of snorkeling gear and coolers were provided for the beach. Only the bedrooms have AC, so it can get hot and stuffy. If you arrive late, be prepared.

Lovely time at this property. Space for everyone, the older kids loved the downstairs space. We loved playing pickelball too. The only mistake we made was renting snorkel gear prior to checking out the gear in the garage! Overall this was perfect for our needs.

This was a nice property in a quiet neighborhood up the hill from Shark's Cove and Pupukea beach. The house itself is older, but well-loved and lived in, with many personal touches. The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with all the utensils and cooking gear you'll need. There is also ample beach gear - mats, umbrellas, chairs, coolers, snorkels.

Good place to land
The property was as advertised. Beautiful views, spacious Lanai (s), toys for the water, and a great location, especially if you want to skip the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.
Since we were there in April, the weather was typical of the tropics, rain, sunny, windy, and temperate climate. We all enjoyed our stay and it gave us a good base of operations to visit all of the North Shore attractions as well as a 45 minute drive into to Honolulu, as we chose.

This property is such a great easy going Hawaiian style vibe!
My family and I felt so relaxed at this place , Although there were small things that needed to be worked on the the bedroom sliding door kept falling off but it wasn’t a big deal, no Aircon in the the living room space but the trade-winds of the cool fresh air made the experience so much better. The amenities were great! Made use of the relaxing sauna and jacuzzi. All of the activity items were a nice touch. All in all I would highly recommend this property for a big family! And I’d definitely stay here again.

Not Quite As Pictured
I don't like to post negative feedback but I think it is important and helpful to both sides. Sooo, although the property itself is awesome, and view from the front porch is amazing, the house and its interiors are very disappointing. The pictures on the website look much better than in reality. Everything inside is old and dark. The lighting in the entire place is terrible. We arrived late evening and could hardly see anything. Nothing is updated. The bedroom downstairs, in half basement, with four twin beds is a dump. The beds are old, the room is dark and very uninviting (even during the day). Bathrooms are old, unattractive and don't have full enclosure so not really private. Overall, it is a pity because it would not take that much effort or money to update the place and lighten it up.
On the positive note, the kitchen was fully equipped, plenty of towels, convenient location, beaches, grocery store very close, communication/responsiveness with Ali'i Beach Rentals/owner was good and on time.
