Beautiful cottage from every aspect, very tastefully fitted out. Didn’t know there were stables and horses, that made it extra special.
We were only there for a weekend.

Next to stables
Sunny rose garden
Facilities excellent including toddler accessories
nothing!

Very homely, plenty of space, great farm cottage social kitchen with large kitchen table. Secluded outside garden space, just right for eating afternoon tea & drinking evening cocktails! secluded parking behind automatic locked gates. Lovely to see the ex race horses in the yard , extremely clean & tidy yard.
Very steep stairs on one part of the building to two of the bedrooms. Unfortunately bedrooms not en-suite, that would have been a bonus.

All very good.
A welcome pack would have been helpful. We had to go out again to buy essentials such as tea, milk, bread and the local shop was shut.

comfortable cottage, nice enclosed garden
the only way to put the heating up or down was to message the local lady who had to ask the owner in Africa. really weird not to be able to decide how hot or cold it was. we were initially quite cold - wouldn’t recommend in winter. also tried to get more money for paying with credit card,

Everything was just spectacular... unique, a beautiful property in a wonderful location. Loved the gym and games room was really a great touch. Will definitely be returning.
Early departure. An 11am would have been nice

Beautiful house in a lovely village, especially loved the horses and stables. Stables staff were fabulous and Jenny. We didn’t want to leave the horses especially Jake ❤️..The summer house and garden were beautiful. Lots of little extras in the house really made our stay !
I would only change one minor thing - the shower in the main bathroom to a rain shower and larger cubicle. The bath is incredible!

Did seem to have a slight problem with lots of"flies" !!
Cottage was beautiful, excellent facilities, great location.

Lovely characterful cottage as the name suggests. Plenty of space for a family get together with lovely big table to sit around in the kitchen. Furnishing nice and in very good condition.
It was really clean and had alot of the little extras that you don't always get in holiday cottages, such as hand soap and shampoos, washing liquid and dishwasher tablets.
Really pretty private garden with couple sitting areas.
Can walk to the village shop and pub.
We had a lovely relaxing stay
Some more crockery would be beneficial as it just about stretched to cover us for a meal or round of drinks and there there were chips on a few pieces. Beautiful crockery set though.
There also weren't enough wine glasses for everyone to have one ( although other varieties available).
It didn't bother us and it might have been something we overlooked in the details but the upstairs does not connect . The property has two sets of stairs to 2 rooms each so just need to be aware that those sleeping on one side have to come down stairs ( that are quite steep) to use the bathroom if needed in the night.

Perfect

The huge roaring fire in the main living room , the comfortable beds, quilts, pillows and linen, the enclosed garden, huge kitchen dining table, pool games room with tv, 2 separate ‘wings’ each with two double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the large AGA made cooker, all the facilities you’d find in a lived in home ( mainly as it is so!) the excellent Gaggle of Geese pub an easy walk away and the welcoming friendly helpful holiday let manager Jenny who lives very locally.
The worst thing I can think of is that I could not find the bread knife! Ha ha.
4.7
Excellent property to stay at if you are looking to explore Dorset and the Jurassic Coast.
Very clean and tidy and the host very welcoming. A perfect week!
Nothing! All good.

Really nice and comfortable cottage, great location. Also host was so helpful and gave us a lot of advice what to see which was great.

The cottage is beautifully furnished & very comfortable. The views are stunning from virtually all of the bedrooms & the owner has thought of everything to provide a comfortable stay. It is a gated property, so you do feel secure staying there. The courtyard is a great place to sit with a glass of wine or G&T, weather permitting. We would definitely return here again, as it is a lovely cottage & central to many Dorset attractions & beauty spots. We were given lots of tips & advice on the good places to visit & eat, including local takeaways, plus routes to see the most beautiful countryside. Dorset is a truly lovely County & this is a lovely cottage.
It was a bit out of the way to the local pub, so we stayed in most nights, avoiding the country lanes. It is a good 25 mins walk to the nearest pub.
Covid19 has affected the rigorous cleaning regimes now required & necessary, so we couldn’t get in until after 5pm & had to vacate by 10am so felt we “lost”a bit of our first day,as virtually evening by the time we got in.

Everything was superb.
Bins outside need to be much bigger/ more of them for recycling and general refuse. Housekeeper agrees and has ordered more.
