Can't say enough good things about our stay. The ambiance of this ocean side home was just the thing we needed for the 2+ weeks we stayed at Ocean Waves. Comfortable accommodations, well appointed kitchen, beautiful windows to enjoy the beauty of the location, wonderful outdoor chairs and tables to be outside, and a great host who answered all our questions promptly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Loved the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean from this beautiful home. Was nicely decorated , clean and fully equipped . Lachelle was easy to communicate with and even left us a welcome treat! Despite the stormy weather we had a nice time enjoying Ocean Waves. Would recommend to bring cash when you visit the island. Some stores ,bars and gas stations were cash only. We were very happy we rented the car from Bruno . His employee Mike saw us safely to the house in the storm the night we arrived. The location of the home is terrific as you have the option to explore going north or south. Highly recommend this comfortable home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Waves! First, Lachelle was one of the most responsive hosts we've ever had. She and Jason were very helpful and generous. The house is spacious, very pleasant, and comfortable with a stunning ocean view. The A/C worked well with controls for each room, though we often turned it off to enjoy the breezes. It's a very short walk to the private gazebo and an absolutely wonderful stretch of beach. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful Eleuthera waters, and afterwards we especially liked sitting on the deck enjoying the warm breezes and listening to the waves. The kitchen is very well equipped. The location is private and serene, but it's an easy 10-minute drive to Governor's Harbour. The central location was great for exploring a lot of the island. We'd love to stay at Ocean Waves again and experience more of Eleuthera and its island love. Many thanks to the Thompson family for their wonderful hospitality!

This property and the hosts couldn’t be better! The view is spectacular. The home is very clean and you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s very close to restaurants and shops in Governor’s Harbour and a short walk (5 mins) down Banks Road to Pascal’s. The host is very responsive and even remembered us from our previous stay last year. We hope to vacation at this property again!

Loved everything about our stay! The beach was beautiful and great for kids and adults. The house was perfect and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Lachelle was wonderful and so easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back.

This was a great house for our little family of 3. We loved the spaciousness, view and access to the beach. It’s remote (quiet), but still close enough to town for shopping and restaurants. Lachelle was a great communicator. I would love to give it 5 stars, but here is why I didn’t. We were aware of the potential of power outages. The island does load sharing often, so you’ll lose power for a couple of hours. But we had those outages plus a 16-hour outage. It was awful - no A/C or fans in July heat. No water. Had to throw out food. We heard generators at the surrounding properties, so I would highly suggest that you consider this when looking at potential properties.

One of the best stays we’ve ever had! Beautiful house and perfect location for a relaxing beach vacation. Governor’s Harbour is just an 8 minute drive away. Pascal’s bar is a short walk. (Their pool with swim-up bar was being repaired when we were there but re-opened the day we left.) The house is very comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed fresh coconut water from coconuts we picked ourselves. (Check YouTube for videos of how to open a green coconut- and there’s a tool in the drawer for this.) Lachelle was great! Good advice and helped us find a local car rental. Highly recommend!!!

Lachelle was fantastic and excellent communicating from booking until check out. She always made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond helping us celebrate for my moms birthday. The home is beautiful and so close to everything. Very well kept and stocked with everything you could need. Quite possibly the best views on the island!! The beach is amazing and we had fun playing in the waves and snorkeling. We can not thank Lachelle enough. For sharing her home with us. It was more than we could hoped for and we look forward to visiting the island again soon.

Our stay at this beautiful property was a trip to remember. Though our trip was short because this home is centrally located, we could visit the far extents of the island without having to overnight it elsewhere unnecessarily. We saw everything from Spanish Wells to Lighthouse Point. You won't regret making this your home away from home.

Hi, this place is great! It is a well designed house and very well appointed. My wife and I cook a lot so we appreciated the many kitchen gadgets available, especially sharp knives!! The view is spectacular and the beautiful beach is a 5 minute walk. Even though there are other houses nearby the most people we saw on the beach were 4 max and in front of this property we were happily alone. We also like that it is literally a 6 minute drive to Governor's Harbor for grocery shopping, restaurants, gas, and more. Lachelle, the owner was super easy to pleasant to communicate with. We will be back.

Stayed two weeks. Terrific propert, marvellous views and fantastic beach walks. Need bedside tables and reading lights in second bedroom. Sheets are cheap synthetic and not very comfortable.

Ocean Waves is a beautiful, comfortable home with a gorgeous view of the Atlantic! A perfect vacation on a magical island! Can’t wait to return.

The host Lachelle was truly the best and her property a dream for my husband and I to start our marriage and honeymoon at. Due to wedding prep, we didn't get a chance to make reservations for our transport which Lachelle helped facilitate via Bruno's car rental literally the day before our arrival. We had a seamless journey to her property which she had prepared above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable at throughout the duration of our stay. Her property aptly named "Oceanwaves" allows you to listen to the sound of the Atlantic, enjoy the glorious sunrise and the hosts of stars above at night. The property comes fully equipped with all the necessities: 1) Air-con which we never used due to the cool breeze 2) drinking water from the rain water tank and water filters 3) kitchen with more than your basic appliances/condiments, and so much more and is in a great central location on Eleuthera to get to the various places. And you have a pink sand beach just a stone throw away! Whenever we had a question, Lachelle was prompt to respond, hospitable and patiently, kindly answered all our inquiries. We were very blessed by her generous hospitality and will definitely love to vacation at her property again when we return to Eleuthera in the future.

Great property it’s superb views and beach walks. Need bedside tables and good reading lamps in 2 nd bedroom. We moved standard lamps to living room. Think of readers. An outdoor dining table and chairs would be welcome.

It was our 1st Time on the island & in this house, and we had Great Experience all the way around. It was us and one other couple and the house worked great for relaxing, going to the semi private beach, and venturing out south or north, as the house is fairly central on the island. Lachelle was excellent in educating us as well as a great host. We would stay hear again if we return to the island!!!

Lachelle is the best host we ever had! Very quick to respond to all the questions we had once we arrived. And she helped us with some things to figure out on the island. Very friendly and a pleasant person! The house is just amazing! The views are breathtaking. It is a short 1 min walk to your own private beach. You feel like you are in heaven when visiting . 🏝️🌊😍 One thing you should have here is a bug spray/oil because bugs are biting badly. But once you figure out how to deal with them it is just heaven on the earth! Thank you once again, Lachelle! You were truly the best!

We just returned from spending Xmas and New Years at Ocean Waves. I don’t have much to add to the superlatives offered in other reviews - the house really is that wonderful, and Lachelle is an excellent host. We were at the beach swimming at least a couple of times each day and even when the weather was wonderful, there were few people. Governor’s Harbour is about a 5 minute drive, and the bakery is marvellous. We cooked eight nights out of ten and found that groceries from the two stores in town were more expensive than the larger stores in North Eleuthera and Rock Sound. Prices for staples (meat, veg, fruit) were not as high as I expected but prices for processed/packaged/imported things (bottles of Ocean Spray juice) were really quite expensive. On Lachelle’s recommendation, we rented a car from Bruno - he was terrific to deal with, and the car was pristine. If you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key vacation, Ocean Waves (and Eleuthera more generally) will deliver for you.

Lachelle is an A+++ host! She was so attentive to all my questions beforehand, and while we were there she was always a quick text away. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The view was to die for, I already miss it SO much! We had literally zero issues staying here for 8 days and I look forward to staying again in the future. The island was very non-touristy which was exactly what I was looking for. Groceries are expensive and water is not safe to drink, so you have to make sure you buy enough! Most places are closed Sunday & Monday. All in all, we had a blast. Bruno is the car rental guy and he was incredibly friendly and helpful. Wonderful island with wonderful people 💖

Also, the property owner, Lachelle made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She was always attentive & prompt to address questions and accommodating. magnificent house with an exceptional view of the ocean, could spend hours of watching. the house is perfect, very well appointed with a beautiful decoration, there is everything you need. Lachelle and her family are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts, we hope to return soon. The island is beautiful and very wild, we were very often alone on the beaches, we preferred the Caribbean side because there was seaweed on the beaches on the ocean side. there are many restaurants and Lachelle is great advice. for shopping we liked the Island Farm. Lovely holidays that we will always remember

Great location, central to everything. We were always within a easy drive to any beach, excursion, and town, and still had privacy and an amazing beach to ourselves. We will definitely be back. The host was always willing to answer any questions and the rental was fully stocked with beach supplies, fishing poles, fully stocked kitchen, and everything you would need. I highly recommend this rental, it suited our family of 5 perfectly.

We took my parents to Ocean Wave to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We would like to echo all the great reviews regarding Ocean Waves. The house is second to none with amazing views. This is a perfect property for two couples wanting to experience a complete Eleuthera get-a-way. We would also like to say that Lachelle is a wonderful host. Even prior to booking the property Lachelle would answer all our questions and concerns. Clean, comfortable, property, everything you need provided. Kitchen offers all small kitchen appliances, very pleased. Beach is perfect, we could not have asked more for a quite, relaxing beach vacation.

Boy, this house is much better in person than the photos show. Incredibly clean, tasteful and well appointed house in a spectacular location! Panoramic ocean views from almost every window in the house. And the warm hospitality from Lachelle was icing on the cake.
