Very quiet, comfortable flat. Hosts were on hand & really helpful. Quick to resolve a couple of minor issues. Lots of lovely small touches - well stocked kitchen with utensils. Beautiful prints on the walls. Plenty of toiletries in both bathrooms. Peaceful view onto Abbeyfields & just a short walk into either end of the town centre.

Both toilet flushes were working but a bit wobbly.

was using this for a work trip. There was very poor phone signal which caused a few issues. the WiFi worked well though. also very poor TV reception. only a couple of channels and very stuttering and breaking up. Ended up streaming TV over the WiFi as it was easier.

Everything was great. Location was very close to center and very helpful hosts.

It's a very nice, spacious apartment, with all you could need for up to 4 people. It's in a great, quiet, location, with lovely greenspace to look out on (or go for a jog or a relaxing walk), but also easy access to town centre (bus, car, walk). There is underground parking for one car. The hosts kept in touch throughout and were very friendly and helpful.

I had difficulty with the key safe, which my elderly fingers found fiddly, and with the system for accessing the apartment from the car park. (This may just have been my stupidity!) I was also not too impressed with the underground rubbish bins area, but this is down to the block management and a neighbour reassured me it was just an 'unfortune week'!

we have stayed with Catchpole Stays previously and we continue to book with them whenever in Colchester because the accommodation, communication and comfort is always excellent.

Very lovely and spacious apartment in a great location. Hosts very attentive and helpful. En-suite toilet was broken during our stay but didn't really hinder our stay. We found it very comfy and perfect for us as a family of four.

Only a small comment to make, maybe scissors could be added to the kitchen utensils.

The apartment was close to the town centre and had good kitchen facilities.

It is advertised as having air conditioning throughout, which it doesn’t. The owners explained this was down to Booking.com and not themselves. We were promised fans in each of the bedrooms, but were only supplied with one. The toilet in the en-suite had no flush button and subsequently was unusable. The carpets are quite stained and the beds had very cheap mattresses on them.

I booked this lovely apartment as we wanted a place to stay to visit Colchester Zoo and Clacton on Sea beach. It is value for money. It is really neat and the beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend it for a family with kids.

The doors that had fobs were very temperamental, sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn’t. On the first night, someone had parked in our car parking space which was very inconvenient, the WiFi was also not working but the host did resolve this on the second day. The apartment itself was nice but the whole building smelt of wet dog and the apartment itself smelt of stale cigarettes, not the most welcoming smell.
