Recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel is new, offering a fresh ambiance, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Several aspects left much to be desired. The use of a tablet for restaurant orders and requests proved inconvenient due to unreliable Wi-Fi, forcing us to walk to reception for assistance. On one occasion, the lack of hot water went unnoticed as the tablet was out of service, and the issue persisted until the following day. While the room's pool was aesthetically pleasing, its cold temperature rendered it impractical, suggesting a need for heating. Surprisingly, simple requests were denied without clear explanations. For instance, we requested a breakfast plate with only mango, a seemingly straightforward request, which was unexpectedly declined. Similarly, when asking for chicken nuggets listed on the menu, we were told they were only available for children, leaving us puzzled as to why a straightforward menu item couldn't be served to an adult. This raised concerns about the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction, as seemingly simple requests were turned down without reasonable justification.

the Vilas are really spectacular and spacious. the private pool is big and very enjoyable. the staff and food was also perfect.

the beach in front is not good for swimming, all rocky.

I like everything about our 7 night stay at this resort. I would like to commend the staffs of Kalinaw. They’re very accomodating, friendly etc. We instantly felt at home on our first day.
