Proximity to everything. Everything. We were steps from the pool, the beach, docks, rentals,parks, stores are across the main street. We came w towels & bathing suits, Easter weekend, & managed to leave having spent half a day on a wake boat getting pulled around & a second day on jet skis exploring on our own. Couldn't have had a better experience. Host was fantastic. Someone you wish every experience dealing over the phone could be with. So helpful & available within minutes, even really late at night when we arrived. I mean, couldn't have been nicer, really. The property was not exquisite but it couldn't have provided a more relaxing atmosphere after a hard day of playing. It was quiet, the pool wasn't packed. It's not a party crowd like London Bridge, quite the opposite. I didn't hear another guest once & everyone was incredibly nice & helpful. We were able to black out the rooms & sleep in, or open curtains to our liking. Didn't run into anything annoying enough to remember after a 5hr drive home. For me, it was the river from an entirely different perspective than the campsites. I had fun. I spent a lot of money on water activities but for the first time in my life, it was worth every Benji. Honestly, not a disappointing thing about our trip. If I were pressed, I'd say Google maps led me to believe we could more easily get to the beach area but turns out that's a golf course. It takes about a minute longer than I thought it would. That's all I can think of.
