We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in the woods! The house is clean, modern, and well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The location is great because it's off the beaten path in a nice quiet area, but close enough to all the sites you would want to see on Mt. Desert Island with a short drive. Excellent place to stay if you like peace and quiet. Very comfortable with a great flat screen TV. Gas grill and fire pit were great for relaxing and cooking a burger after hiking all day. Also, loved having a washer and dryer available. Super easy check in and great communication from the host. We will certainly look stay here again on future trips to Mt. Desert Island!

This is our second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time! Fantastic location, accessible to everything, super clean and well stocked. Check in/out is a breeze. Already looking forward to next time.

We had a lovely 3 days on the quiet side of the island. We hiked up Beech Mountain in the fog and kayaked around Mt. Desert Narrows. In the evening we enjoyed games and a fire in the firepit! The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep! But, Beals won our hearts for a water front lobster/mussel fest!

This is a great place to stay. It is new, clean, and well stocked. It is several miles from the activity of Bar Harbor and has beautiful woods around it. The host has provided many convenient things to make your stay comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners thought of so many things to make you feel at home. The beds were very comfortable. My grandson enjoyed the frequent visits from several deer. It feels very private but you are close to so many things.

This is our second stay at this property and we were again very happy with our choice. It’s a great place to call home for a family vacation. The property is clean, the location is quiet yet convenient, and the amenities are all as described or better. The host is great to communicate with when needed. We’ll be back again.

My husband, daughter, and myself drove out from IL to meet up with my family on the east coast for a week in Bar Harbor. The house was able to accommodate the 6 of us perfectly. Location was great and just far enough out that we had our privacy to relax and get away from the crowd. The property manager was prompt at returning messages and was available to assist us with any needs we had. Appliances were all new and worked great and beds were comfortable. Only downfall is there are no ceiling fans in the house and at times it became just a little stuffy. Over all a wonderful stay and couldnt have asked for better.

This property came as advertised and was very well located! Close to Bar Harbour and Acadia park! This house is very well equipped with everything that you would need to cook and entertain! We would definitely rent this house again.

Clean, well-stocked house that served as a great base for visiting acadia and bar harbor. All the furniture is comfy and there was plenty of outdoor space for relaxing. We loved our stay here!

Everything you need and then some has been provided at Bria’s place on Mt. Desert Island. We absolutely loved the house and the location. Our stay was just four nights, but we could have enjoyed a much longer stay because of how well equipped and spacious the home is. It’s centrally located to Bar Harbor and Acadia as well as Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor; less than a 20 minute drive to each. We loved it’s setting in nature as opposed to the tourist areas. Highly recommend!

September 13, 2022. One of the cleanest homes we have stayed in with VRBO. Great location to visit Acadia Park. Quiet area, yet good roads to travel. This home had all the amenities and more for our stay. Owner is very attentive to her home.

We have stayed here twice and love it. Easy access to everything on MDI and has all the amenities one could want. Perfect get away.

Beautiful house on Mt. Desert Island, only 18 minutes from Bar Harbor and right next to Acadia National Park. Place is very clean, plenty of space for a family of four. We loved using the fire pit, loved that Acadia is right next store, we hiked and biked every day. Will definitely be back!!

The location and the house were amazing.. Such a beautiful place which had everything we wanted. The host was so helpful too.

We loved this property. Exactly as described, and the reviews are all accurate. This was perfectly situated on the quiet side. We were able to check out Acadia easily from this property, it was a great starting point for each of our days’ adventures and a nice quiet place to come home to. Many extras that we don’t expect in a VRBO like laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, tons of spices, and trash bags. At the house there were great books and pamphlets of local information, along with board games and puzzles. Bria was a great communicator. She provided all the information we needed to have a good stay and was responsive to our questions. We had a great time and hope we can return some day.

We enjoyed our stay and washed all sheets, rugs and towels before our departure. We also did all dishes and swept, wiped all counters down. We enjoyed the Air conditioning and full kitchen. Didnt get the chance to use the patio or grill.

Our stay with this property was nothing short of spectacular! Our family of 4 stayed for two weeks and it was such a breeze. The property was clean and everything was well stocked and comfortable. Plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, and lots of space. The location was perfect, close by to Acadia NP which we went back and forth to daily hiking and exploring with our 6 yr old and 9 yr old. We have stayed many places through VRBO and this property was our favorite of all time. We will definitely be coming back to stay again! Thank you for being a wonderful host and providing our family a place to build amazing memories we will always cherish.

We loved our stay at Pretty Marsh! This house was very CLEAN and spacious. Everything seemed new in the house. We were very thankful to come back after a long day of hiking to a comfortable and clean place to relax. So nice to be able to do laundry, and cook meals in the big, well-stocked kitchen. Appreciate all the little touches from the hostess that made our stay easier- night lights, extra blankets, empty dressers for clothes, games and puzzles. Acadia NP was not far away, and we definitely were happy to stay on the "quiet side" of the island. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get to return to Acadia! Highly recommend Pretty Marsh Hideaway.

The house was an ideal base for our visit to Acadia. It was well-stocked, with comfy beds and furniture, and space for us and our friends. We appreciated the walk-out basement, which had plenty of room for our bikes and had a washer/dryer. Bria quickly responded to any questions I had, and this house will be the first on our list for when we go back! It was easy driving to Bar Harbor, the Jordan/Cadillac side of Acadia, and the quiet side. If the night skies cooperate, you can see hundreds of stars from the backyard.

I'm in the area for work many times a year and have found my new favorite place to stay. The home was exactly as described and very cozy. I was impressed with the cleanliness, especially during a pandemic. The property manager was incredible to work/speak with and responded very quickly. I got iced in and extending my stay was very quick and easy. I will definitely be staying here again!!

Another fun week in Acadia.

This home has everything you will need for a wonderful trip! Clean, with many extras, it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

This was our 5th trip to this area, & this place was our favorite rental. Everything just lined up perfectly for us...amenities, location, comfort, quiet, etc. We would definitely consider requesting another stay here when we return to this area.

This place was perfect! My two friends and I stayed very comfortably here and enjoyed every second. It was nice, clean, well supplied with necessities, and on a beautiful private lot right outside of Acadia National Park. Additionally, the host was very prompt and helpful with responses to any questions I had. I really don’t think it could have gone better than it did. I highly recommend this place and if I return I’ll definitely look into staying here again.

This place was perfect for three of us and was close to all sections of Acacdia. It was very clean, spacious and well stocked. We loved the full kitchen.

My boyfriend and I rented this home from Bria for a week in September. We could not have a had a better stay! The reservation and check in process were a breeze. The property is spotless and everything looks brand new. We were pleasantly surprised to also find a fire pit, Adirondack chairs and a wooden swing in the backyard in addition to the patio set. It made for some amazing star gazing at night. The house was fully stocked with everything we could need (paper towels, spices etc.). The location was perfect for us. It is on the quieter side of the island, but all of our activities and excursions were within a reasonable distance (no more than about a 30 min drive). It is on a “main road” but it was super quiet and we thought it was convenient to be close to a main road. We rather enjoyed coming back to the house after a long day of hiking and exploring Bar Harbor! We can not say enough wonderful things about this home and we hope to return when we go back to the area!
