Great cabin, very peaceful quiet area. Highly recommended

Great cabin, clean and quiet. Five minutes from a fantastic view of Denali and about 10 minutes from downtown Talkeetna.

We love visiting Talkeetna area. This one bedroom dry cabin is set up well and includes simple breakfast. The main bed is up in a loft so make sure you can climb a ladder. The bed is ok, but we would have preferred more pillows. Also be ready to use a compost toilet. We would stay here again. It is an Alaskan dry cabin, so it's like camping but with the tent already set up. :-)

Cabin was awesome! Felt rustic and in nature. Cabin was clean and had all necessities, plus. Will stay again when back in Talkeenta area, highly recommend.

Great cabin in the middle of Anchorage, conveniently located, beautifully remodeled, clean, comfortable bed, quiet! Great place to stay!

This is a nice little cabin and at check in we were greeted by the owner and showed around. Fun little place to stay near talkeetna.

Quiet setting, host was very accommodating. 10 minutes out from Talkeetna. I would recommend, for those who are agile enough to climb the ladder to loft.

We are Alaskans and we were grateful that we stayed at this pet-friendly truly Alaskan cabin w/ amenities. The owner met and exceeded our expectations in the cabin’s cleanliness, accessibility and sustainability. Next time we know we need a station stop between Alaska’s largest communities, we will book again.

Lovely cabin on beautiful, secluded property. Owner is very welcoming!

Kurt was the best host that we had. He greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had all we needed. He gave us a piece of his freshly caught salmon, excellent advice on where to go, and was kind and curious throughout our stay. The cabin was comfy and fun to stay in.

What a great find. This traditional Alaska cabin is a gem and the owner is a wealth of Alaska and Talkeetna information. To get to the site, just simply follow the owners directions. You can’t miss the property! Glad I had it for two nights.

It was a quiet little place in the woods, close to the town of Talkeena. We enjoyed the food, K2 experience and much much more.

This cabin is even better in person than the pictures show. It was clean, cozy, quiet, and perfect. My dog and I had a great stay and hope to revisit next time we are in Talkeetna.

Charming cabin and very Alaskan! Curt met us and checked us in as well as a visit in the morning to see how everything went. He accommodated us so generously with our family and dogs. 10 minute drive to town, nice bike paths close by.

The cabin was exactly as seen in the pictures, a small little cabin with everything you need for a night away. I wasn't expecting the other cabins and the owners house to be so close, I was hoping for a little more space but otherwise everything was as expected. We enjoyed the cabin very much.

I love that it was easy to find. The host was very nice and the cabin was pi feel like he goes over and beyond for his guess we'll definitely come back in the future and refer. To a friend

Great stay here and the host Curt was so welcoming and friendly. My husband and I enjoyed his stories and his cabins are very well kept and maintained. Everything was clean and we were glad to have the luxury of an indoor composting toilet. The upstairs loft bed was very comfortable and the bed linens were luxurious. There were also lots of fun goodies to eat and a refrigerator, microwave and k-cup coffee maker with coffee. We will stay here again.

Super comfy little cabin tucked away near Talkeetna. Curt was super responsive and accommodating to my question before booking and met us upon arrival. The cabin was as advertised and even had a few movies and games for the kiddos. We had to leave early due to an unforeseen circumstance but really enjoyed the time we spent there.

Cabin was comfortable and rustic, and location peaceful. Host was personable and helpful. If ever back in the area, will be happy to stay again.

We drove up and Curt met us next to the cabin. He gave us a short tour and gave us the rundown. Great spot and great host!

When we received a text that Curt had upgraded us we hadn't been there yet and upon arriving found a large homey cabin. We were happy as the rain that came that night and the whole next day meant the extra room was handy as we had an early Zip Lining. Sadly we never met Curt but even when not there we had a great time. Thanks

This was a cute place to stay with good views (unfortunately it was cloudy and rained during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the views). The place was clean and well stocked with adequate instructions. Because of the roads it took about an hour to get to Anchorage from the property. It would’ve been nice to have this information.

We enjoyed our three nights in Curt’s cozy cabin near Talkeetna. Curt greeted us on arrival and had some great suggestions of things to do in the area. The cabin was clean and exceeded our expectations for a rustic dry cabin. The loft bed was comfy, but the ladder was a bit of a challenge the first night due to recent knee surgery. However, the futon on the main level worked great for me the other nights and Curt provided plenty of warm bedding. The town of Talkeetna has grown since we were last there and was great fun with live music, cute shops, and good food! Overall a memorable weekend getaway from Anchorage. PS: Curt will suggest you watch the DVDs “Alone in the Wilderness” he has in the cabin. Do it…you won’t regret!

This cabin was absolutely perfect. I loved the feel of the cabin. Curt greeted us upon arrival with his pup which was very nice. I highly recommend the cabin.

This little cabin is great. Perfect for my family of three. Curt is an amazing host. My daughter enjoyed playing fetch with Curt's little puppy. When laying in bed, if you leave the windows open, there is no sounds of heavy traffic. Just enjoy the sounds of birds chirping. Thank you for opening your little cabin to us.

We had everything we needed and Curt was very helpful and hospitable. Stayed in this cabin with one other couple and it was definitely cozy with four people but we are used to motorhomes and tents, so this was a step up! The property is beautiful with a huge greenhouse and a few other cabins. We had an awesome time.
