Property Manager was great. Location was prime & place was cool - clean & comfortable.

Good enough elbow room for one.

It is close to the beach, but keep in mind it is a dog beach. Someone thew a ball toward us, and their dog came within inces of knocking me over. Plus, the dogs are going the bathroom on the beach. There is zero parking, which was nice to see in the listing pictures of how crowded the street is. The studio apartment was small and a bit hard to move around in, but it was tidy. The pull out couch bed took up even more space but was comfortable to sleep 2 adults. The property manager William was very kind and polite. The owner Gerald on the other hand was unprofessional and disrespectful about a misunderstanding of convoluted directions. You will be berated if you irratate him. And yet when he makes errors, it's no big deal. Gerald, you need to change your check in process and methods. You should not demean your renters for what is ultimately a poor choice on your part. I wont even divulge the details of how big of a risk this is to you and your renters. If my review makes you even more irate than before, dont worry, we won't be coming back.

Place wasn’t the cleanest. There were lots of bugs. Lots of electronic lights in the room. Owner of place was very rude on the phone.

We loved staying here! It was the perfect place to stay if you are out exploring LA and LB all day/night. Close the beach.

Little hard check in but nice place.

We recently stayed in this unit for a week while we were visiting Long Beach. The location was amazing…a block off the beach and two blocks off the main row of restaurants and bars in Belmont Shore. The unit was very cute and very clean. Our only issue (and this was a big issue) was the pull-out sofa bed. The mattress is very thin and we could feel the springs through it. We actually ended up buying an air mattress to sleep on for our stay. Every other aspect of our stay was wonderful…unfortunately the bed is a large part of a stay, hence the reason for a three-star review.

This little spot is in a perfect location for walking to restaurants, shops, nightlife and the beach. Communication was always quick and easy. Very clean and cozy spot. Perfect for our stay.

The place was just perfect for me neighborhood nice and quiet. The beach literally right across the street. I had no problem with parking. There are eateries and coffee shops like two two and a half blocks away. The studio is immaculate had no issues whatsoever. I would stay there again.

Wonderful neighborhood steps away from the beach and 2nd St in LB. Property manager (William) answers any questions you may have. Accessing the place is easy, and although parking can be a bit dicey, we were able to find parking nearby every time quite easily. I’d recommend to anybody staying in town.

The Long Beach studio is in an amazing neighborhood and in a perfect location. It is convenient to have a small kitchen and a cozy space to crash for the evenings. Thank you

We were visiting our daughter so we didn’t spend time in the unit. It was nicely appointed for what we needed.

This place is 1/2 from the beach and walking distance to good restaurants and bars/shopping. The Piper owner and manager are very nice and easy to friendly. It it's immaculate and updated. I would highly recommend anyone stay here. It is clean and fresh. Fantastic experience.

Great location! Second time staying. The bed is still very uncomfortable (look into a Murphy bed!) but won’t stop me returning again!

Strongly do not recommend! I was unable to check in when I arrived because the owner did not send the information. When I called to find out the info he yelled over the phone that he had definitely sent it. He checked while on the phone and realized he hadn't then sent it and told me not to call him, but to call his manager instead. Had another interaction during the stay that was equally unpleasant. There was one small heater that stopped working, I had to find alternate housing for the last night of my stay, was still charged for the night. Would definitely not recommend!

The apt was clean and had a good location next to beach. Sleeper sofa is not very comfortable. Biggest complaint is how loud the neighbors are. The walls are not very sound proof and I could hear people slamming doors, gates, and garbage cans in the alley. A yappy dog lived next door and neighbors across from apt partied until 4 am one night. I did not get much sleep at this apt and will not stay here again. What is unacceptable is that this all transpired after I received a very threatening “welcome” email from the owner stating that I would be “escorted off the property” and “ my reservation cancelled” if I made any noise. I contacted the owner about the noise and received no acknowledgement.

My experience was positive for the most part other than the issue with lacking the supply of shampoo.

Overall it was a cute clean spot. The bed was not so comfortable but other than that everything went well. Easy check in made it quick, which was very nice.

Place was perfect for 2 people. Pullout bed was comfortable, slept pretty well. Very clean, nice appliances. Walk to the beach and 2nd. Also a liquor store a 3 min walk. Check in was a little wonky but we figured it out. Also bring earplugs because you can hear everything outside if you’re a light sleeper. As advertised, great stay and would definitely be back again for any other trips to Long Beach.

Loved the apartment! It’s small, but very clean and newly renovated, and had everything I needed, and the location is perfect. A couple minute walk to the beach in one direction, and a couple minute walk to second street in the opposite direction! William, the property manager, is a delight to work with!! If I had any questions, he got back to me right away. Great guy! I’ll be back again for sure!

This property is a gem in Belmont Shores! Perfect location to walk to restaurants, shops, beach, and surrounding neighborhoods. The property is clean and well-kept. William and Gerald were quick to respond when needed. Will definitely stay again!

Poor review because the size of the unit is grossly misrepresented in the listing. This is pointed out in other reviews & needs to be corrected by VRBO and/or the owner. In addition, unless you know to look at the pictures with a discerning eye, it should be indicated the "bed" is in fact a pull out couch. That detail is conveniently omitted. It is completely unethical that this owner is misleading would be renters. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I bet it isn't on a pull out couch.

This location is amazing but I was extremely disappointed in the bed. It’s a pull out trundled bed with a huge sinking whole at the head and the metal supports poke through all along it. 4 nights of no sleep to say the least. And as this a new remodeled apparent apparently they forgot insulation because you can literally hear every word that come from the neighbors and I literally mean EVERY sound.

Perfect place for my stay near my daughter who lives in Belmont Shore. Clean, well-appointed and perfect for my visit which included Disneyland and Sir Elton John!

The property is extremely clean and very nicely renovated. Absolutely everything you need is supplied. Walking distance to the most amazing beaches and restaurants. I am definitely visiting again!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!

My boyfriend and I really enjoy this place, we've stayed twice now. Great for two people and had everything we needed. Parking is tough to find and pay attention to the street sweeping signs. Make sure to walk down the alley next to the building, the unit is at the very end by the alley. Love this place!

The studio is small but it was fine for 2 people so don't think you will squeeze in a 3rd. The bed is fold-out so understand what you are getting. It is extremely clean and very well kept; I can tell the manager really takes pride in this property and it is spotless. We did get locked out right after getting there and William (manager) was able to help us immediately (be cautious to not lock the door knob; deadbolt only). We also had an issue arise outside of the managers control for which he did an exceptional job of rectifying. This location is awesome and I would go back again. Thanks for your help William!
