A few areas where the cleaning had been missed (behind toilet door and behind the toilet seat). Air con was poor - on all night and didn't get the room temperature below 25degC (even though the outside temperature fell to around 15degC). Windows could be opened but lots of airport noise early in the morning so also not ideal either.

The location is exactly what I needed because the next morning, early, I need to meet a group of 37 others at the airport and therefore the included breakfast was really welcoming. Getting down to Berlin center was an easy train ride, where the station was right in front of the hotel. The sound proofing of the double-glazed windows was excellent, I did not remember hearing any planes taking off or landing, next to the airport. It was truly an enjoyable stay; wish I could have stayed longer. I will surely consider this place when I come by Berlin next.

There isn't anything I dislike, in particular. Even if I had to pick on it, I don't remember being annoyed or displease in any way. Nope, there is nothing that I didn't like. I will surely consider staying here again when I come next to Berlin.

We enjoy the Steigenberger Hotel Airport Berlin's modern rooms, restaurant and other facilities. The airport location is great, a quick walk to Terminal 1 for our flights.

The location, cleanliness, and hotel rooms.

The 10 euro fee for room service would only be reasonable if the menu pricing wasn’t over priced. A burger, fries, coleslaw and water would cost almost 60 euros to be deliver. I paid about 40 euros for a side of fries, a small bottle of water and child’s pasta (about 3/4 cup).

The location is just next to the airport so one can walk from the hotel to the airport within a few minutes. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. There are Nespresso capsules provided in the room. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who needs a good rest just before your flight.

There were no clear directions from the train station or airport to the hotel. The hotel is just right outside the terminal.

Location is just perfect for anyone having an early flight, even sleeping on the bench on the airport wouldn't be closer. The parking P3 is just round the corner. The decor is beautiful and quite luxury, beds are comfortable, there is kettle and coffee machine in the room. There is no mini bar in the room, you'd need to order room service for some snacks/drinks, but I haven't seen the menu anywhere. Unfortunately I couldn't try the breakfast, nor the spa centre.

I can't say I'm fully satisfied with my stay. The hotel takes a deposit of 50 EUR per room that is blocked on your credit card. This information was not provided on booking.com or any of the messages I received from the hotel. I wasn't informed about that while checking-in either, the amount was just blocked and I realised that seeing it on my account. That was the first problem - I don't think this kind of practice is very transparent and definitely I should have been informed beforehand. The other problem was that the hotel made some kind of a mistake - instead of blocking 150 EUR, for 3 rooms that I booked, over 450 EUR was blocked (more than the overall price I paid!). I asked about that while checking-out (we stayed just one night, few hours actually, cause we had an early flight) and was told everything was ok, that I paid just the price for 3 rooms and if anything I have the invoices to confirm it. It was Sunday, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When I came back on Tuesday, the money was still blocked, so I went to the hotel to clarify the situation. They confirmed they made a mistake, but the deposit was already released and it's up to my bank to transfer it back. Well, a week later I still can't access my money, while all the other deposits I paid during my trip were back after max. 2 days. I gave them long enough to sort this situation out up to my expectations and can't say it has been done, therefore I decided to write this review. I expected more from this kind of a hotel.

The location of the hotel is great, basically connected to the airport. Attractive hotel and rooms, very clean.

The room temperature was set centrally -- and it was too hot. I called to request the temperature lower, and it would go down for a short while and then default to the higher - too hot - temperature. This meant that I did not get a good night's sleep. Seems odd to have this set-up as I would expect the hotel would want to conserve electricity (or whatever other energy source) in light of the times and restrictions. In addition, the room service options were very limited and expensive.
