We had a wonderful stay at Flip Flop Inn. The house was clean and fresh, and it is in excellent condition.
Bruce communicated with us exactly right - enough to know we were there, and then he left us alone for the week. There were no issues with the house, so there were no problems to solve.
We enjoyed the three different places to sit outside - the front deck, the small deck outside the kitchen, and the porch underneath the house.
The golf cart (at no charge) is definitely an added value. We did not use our car after we got to St. George because we went everywhere in the golf cart.
Another added value is no pet fee, and Bruce and Nita simply ask that guests clean up after their pets. In addition, the fenced back yard and the gate on the front deck meant we could sit outside with our dog and not worry about him escaping. The fence is in good condition, with no escape holes.
Finally, it was great fun to add our arrow (which was provided) to the destination pole!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flip Flop Inn and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

We loved our vacation in St George Island. This home is pet friendly and just a short walk to the beach which is lovely and peaceful. The property also comes with the use of a golf cart which is a great addition, we used it to go to local restaurants and to the beach. The property manager was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay. We had a mandatory evacuation on our first day due to hurricane Debby and the property manager reached out to us to make sure we were ok. We really appreciated his communications with us during this time. Overall a great property and we will definitely be back!

Good Location ! Private, nice outside areas and porches. Very cute place. Had what we needed. Good Air Conditioner worked great. Good temperture for running water, showers and etc. Good for a small group not lg group.

We enjoyed our stay on St. George Island. Having the golf cart was a huge bonus! The house was well equipped and comfortable. A short ride/walk to the public beach access or the park area on the bay side to put in kayaks if you bring them. The area was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back - the owners were very nice and reached out to us throughout our stay.

We had an amazing week with our 2 dogs at Flip Flop Inn!!! The house was clean and the fenced yard was perfect for our fur babies. And not to mention the house comes with a golf cart which made it so easy to load up and head to the beach and to the local restaurants. The house was so perfect we have already booked our trip for next May! The hosts were very responsive and nice to deal with!

Super clean and really nice home. My wife and dogs and I all loved it. The location and close proximity to virtually everything made it easy to scoot around in the golf cart. The golf cart was a really nice addition.

Me (age 72) and my dog stayed for 9 days. The area was perfect for walking. The house is well built with amazing front deck and side deck. Inside has tall ceilings, lots of windows, and walls are painted a beautiful pale/grey blue. We felt very safe and comfortable there. Beaches are great, and you MUST visit the state park. It is gorgeous.

My husband and I travelled with our two springer spaniels. The house was perfect for us! It was very clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. The front porch was awesome in the evening and they even had a gate for the stairs so our pups couldn't escape. As most earlier reviews mentioned, the golf cart was amazing to have. Just a short 4 block walk to the beach and only 2 minutes on the golf cart. The public access at 7th street is perfect. The fenced backyard was also a huge plus for us to allow our dogs some freedom to roam around. We always appreciate people sharing their homes with us and they have a beautiful one that is well cared for!

We really enjoyed our stay. The gold cart was a nice bonus. The doggy door and fenced area made our dogs happy. The house was well stocked with necessities that I usually forget to bring - toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. we were sad to leave.

The house is near to new and very convenient to the beach and restaurants. The use of the golf cart was a big plus and it worked perfectly to transport our gear to the beach as well as dining out. We have stayed at many different places on SGI and this was the best so far. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a week with our pups and had a wonderful time. The house was in tiptop shape with updated kitchen and baths, TV, internet, and in a quiet neighborhood. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs. The owner responded immediately to any question I had. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect. Host and house were very accommodating. We have been coming 32 plus years… first time we ever had a golf cart. The house was further from the beach than we usually stay but the golf cart made it GREAT! Comfortable, clean, adorable and very pet friendly house. Definitely plan on a trip back to Flip Flop Inn🌞

2021 Get Away
This property was perfect for us! Clean and spacious with a deck on the back and a deck on the front. Perfect for morning breakfast and evening cocktails. The owner provided a golf cart which was perfect for crushing around the island. We were able to bring our very well behaved Labrador which always makes our trip to St. George complete! Thank you so much for the fun times!

Great location, amenities, and owners!
I usually forget to review rentals, but this one was so great that I had to! The house itself is pretty standard, but the big fenced in area, complimentary golf cart, and very communicative owners made our 7 night stay amazing! The house is only couple of 2 house blocks from the beach access and a 5 min golf cart ride from every restaurant/shop on the island. The golf cart is 2 seats with a flat cargo area on back, so it won't take a big group but was perfect for the 2 of us with beach/fishing gear and to go eat or make grocery runs. Nita and Bruce were very communicative with reaching out before the trip, checkin on us while there, giving recommendations on places, and even helping suggest some pet friendly hotels when we decided to add a night to kur trip since the house was already booked. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone with dogs looking for an affordable place on the island!

Great experience during Tropical Storm Fred
We stayed during T. S. Fred and had only minor issues. The pictures do not do the property justice. It is a very nice place to stay. The bedding was nice cotton quits and the mattresses were excellent . The decor was tasteful/minimal and there was a tv in all the rooms if you care about that stuff (we don't). The kitchen has a K-cup machine, towels, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes, pots, etc. The fenced yard was nice to let our dogs play while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. Plenty of space for families to spread out and do their thing. It was short walk to the beach. The house is close to town, but also feels secluded. St. George Island is the best beach in the world and I consider it a privilege to be able to spend time enjoying it once a year. We have stayed all over the island in the last decade and this is one of my favorite houses. It is a great comfortable beach house for you to stay in between visits to the beach.

Loved this pet friendly rental
Loved visiting St. George Island! Very laid back vibe. This comfy house is close to the beach and having the golf cart made it so much easier. The fenced yard was fantastic for our dogs. We enjoyed the grilling and sitting area under the house and the second refrigerator in that area was super convenient. The house had everything we needed. Bruce and Nita were fantastic. Great communication and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Perfect rental for a pet friendly family.
The house was within a great distance to everything! The golf cart made it even easier to get from point A to point B. Beach access very close via golf cart. Linens were already on the beds upon approval and towels provided with our weekly stay (which was nice). The house had a tankless hot water heater which was also very nice!! King size bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. Also, fenced in yard was very nice for our dogs! House had a few quarks as most properties do…nothing major that would affect your stay. Property owner was quick to respond and easy to get ahold of.

Fantastic week away in a comfy home!
We love St George and wanted to bring our dogs this time. Found this gem and it was perfect. The fenced yard was the kicker, and our dogs loved being able to be off leash and tie outs. The fridge outside with the under house patio was nice to have as well! Having a golf cart was a big plus since we were a couple blocks from the beach. Easy access to public beach walkway. We mostly cooked in, and found all the kitchen items we needed there. Communication was quick and friendly. Definitely would love to stay here again in the future!

They allow larger dogs, and they have a very secure metal fence that surrounds the front yard and below house sitting area. I could let my pups outside in the morning to run, and not worry about them escaping or pushing through a cheap fence. Very secure. The interior is simple, clean, and functional. The street is quiet, but you have easy access to the beach a few blocks away. A golf cart was included, which we did not use, but it was nice to have an alternative transport to our pickup truck. Next time I return to SGI with my dogs, I will definitely check to see if this house is free.
