My siblings and I brought our spouses and children - totaling 6 adults and 6 kids. We were more than comfortable with the space we had (we put 5 kids in the “bonus room” and ended up bringing an air mattress, only because we wanted the kids to all be together while the baby was in the bunk room). It’s a beautiful calm lake and near some fun Petosky attractions. This was our second time staying here; Maria is great to work with. I’d recommend this property!

The location and quietness of the property were delightful. The house is in need of much care. It had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, sinks were clogged and you had to find one that worked, none of the tv remotes had batteries in them so we had to go buy some, the door of the main bedroom was falling off its hinges and couldn't be used, the garbage disposal button stuck and I had to figure out where to unplug it to turn it off, garbage from several weeks was in the garage and the smell was in the back section of the house.(we talked the garbage guy into letting us bring out the extra bags since they didn't fit into any can), and many more similar items had issues. None of these things made us dislike our vacation, but we did have to do much work ourselves to make various aspects of the stay work. We've not encountered this before. This house needs someone in charge to stay in in and really see what needs fixing.

This is our second year in this house which once again proved perfect for our family vacation. Wonderful lake, spacious house, everything we needed for meal preparations, bedding, etc.; and plenty of room to "hide" if you needed some alone time. We will be back in 2024. Our Property Manager, Maria, has been so responsive to our every need and a pleasure to work with for the second year in a row! Thanks Maria!

This house and location were fabulous. All adults and one dog were very happy to spend time together on the lake kayaking and swimming. The house provided tons of space with two family rooms plus two offices for the two adults that needed to work remotely part time. The outdoor deck and view of the lake was a favorite gathering place with remote control awnings. Maria was very helpful when we needed her. We’ll be back…

My siblings and I chose this location for our annual trip - the property was home to 6 adults, 6 kids, and dogs. It was a beautiful place to be. The neighborhood is quiet, and the outdoor space was ideal for our kids to play, the adults to relax, and even our pets to take a dip in the lake! The property photos don’t do the place justice. The home is quite large, and more than accommodated our large party. We did find that we wished for some basic amenities- larger pots and pans, more sharp knives for food prep, lighter for bonfire, and blankets for nighttime sleep (beds were dressed with sheets and comforters). All of those were minimal criticisms for such an awesome weekend. Maria was great to work with, and our stay is one we will definitely remember!

The house was very comfortable and clean. It had space for all of us and storage for all of our winter gear. The owner was available for any questions we had, and when I did have an issue with something it was resolved immediately. We are thinking of renting the home for the summer!

The home and location are beautiful. Large first floor open floor plan ideal for our family gathering. We had 12 family members stay in the home, there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, 3 full bathrooms and a 1/2 bathroom, beautiful main floor with gas fireplace, large table and large kitchen area. Gorgeous view of the lake from the main living space. The host was very kind and timely in her responses to all my questions. The home was clean and in good shape, only some stains on carpet, which the host informed us of prior to our stay. Excellent property.

Outstanding home!! We had a wonderful trip. The home exceeded our expectations. We will plan to come back next year. The owner was very responsive and great to work with.

The property is lovely. The lake is nice but it was difficult for me to walk in. The bottom is rocky and muddy when you first get in. The kids didn't mind. They enjoyed the little sandy beach and fire pit. The house is big with plenty of bedrooms. The two problems we had were with the airconditioning. It was noisy and took a long time to cool down upstairs. Downstairs was always cool so we left that unit completely off. My daughter and her husband and their two kids slept in the room with the bunk beds. The bed in that room was so uncomfortable that they couldn't sleep in it. I thought they would have beach towels so I didn't bring any. Just know that you should bring your own beach towels. Plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen. No ammenities in kitchen so bring whatever you need to cook with. I was told that they cleaned the salt and pepper shakers after each visitor left and that there would be salt and pepper. This was not the case. The pepper grinder was empty and the salt shaker had a little salt in it that wouldn't come out. I did find small used ones in a cupboard that had a little in each of them. Overall it was a great cottage for a large group of people.

The property worked out great for our family. Less than 30 minutes to the Walloon Lake Inn and the Vintage Chophouse which were two of our dinners. Vernale's was just around the corner, as was a great market Toski's. The lake and the house were great. The only negative was the goose poop in the lawn. Picking up the poop required some time every day.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location was great with close proximity to Petoskey, Bay Harbor, and Harbor Springs. Every year my family rents over Independence Day weekend, and this was the best location that we have stayed! We were in the middle of all of our favorite golf courses and restaurants. We loved the beach and play set on the property. We appreciated the gated deck so that we did not have to worry about our little ones running into the lake. We also enjoyed the retractable awning that gave us some shade from the hot afternoon sun. The outdoor amenities were truly great. The reason my family gave this property 4 stars is because it is a little worn-in. The mattresses are not very comfortable and some of them do not have mattress protectors. Additionally, there were not enough pillows provided (expected 2 per person). Although the decorative pillows are nice, they should not be used for sleeping on. There were stains on the carpet, the hardwood floors had visible wear, one of the chairs in the family room had a broken leg, the wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom was coming down and had crayon on it, and the overhead fan did not work in one of the bedrooms. We paid a lot of money for this property and were hoping for it to be in a little better shape. With all of that said, I do think this is still a great place to stay that is very family friendly. With a little updating, this place could really be a top of the line property. Lastly, Maria was very prompt in her communication and gave great recommendations on where to eat and what to do. Stayed here for a family vacation with the grandparents and my sister's family. Had 3 kids under 3, two of them under a year. The house had enough space to accommodate the kids different nap and sleeping arrangements while also allow the parents to have thier own space. The outdoor space was nice and the location was great with short drives to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and several wineries.

Spacious lake house on good-sized inland lake. Quiet neighborhood with little traffic and the house is in the the quietest part of the small sub. Plenty of room for family and/or group. We had 6 adults, three kids, and two dogs. Upstairs and downstairs washer/dryer convenient for an entourage. Gated deck, grill, lots of outdoor seating and retractable shade awnings a big plus. Beach, dock and fire pit all add to the MI lake house experience. Super convenient to Petoskey and Harbor Springs and all they offer in terms of great restaurants and fun shopping, Toski Sands market, more stellar golf courses than you can play in a couple of days, etc. Oldest grandson and son-in-law enjoyed some of the best fishing on Round Lake, both from the dock and kayaks we rented.

We rented for Memorial Day weekend and the home was perfect for our needs. Spacious and comfortable layout inside with a perfect back porch/patio facing the water. Loved the sandy beach area for the kids and discovered a bonus outdoor play set/swings/slide! Great for our family getaway!

Very roomy property , very nice location , beds are uncomfortable ( old springs ), mattresses are old and a bit smelly . Cleaning services are poor - make sure to pack your bed sheets , some rooms doors are not closing , (door is stuck) . No toilet paper , no shower gels/shampoo) . Kitchen is roomy and has enough equipment . Washing machines both floors , but very noisy .

Petoskey was home and this home/setting could not have been more comfortable a d peaceful. Absolutely loved it and hope to stay again!!

Ideal location for an up north getaway. The back yard and beach area were a hit for our young kids. What a wonderful layout in the house! Plenty of room and the laundry both upstairs and downstairs was extremely convenient. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

The home and property offered a great place for our kids and five grandkids for making memories of time together indoors and out. The floor plan and large rooms, as well as the yard with slides, swings and a great beach, offered our group of 10 more than enough room and options for togetherness and privacy. The location was so convenient to great restaurants and venues (Petoskey State Park, Mackinac Island, Harbor Springs, Starbucks, etc.). A great value and time!

We stayed at this property for a week at the end of August. The location couldn't have been better as it was a quick drive to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. The home is very private with a beautiful view of Round Lake. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the lake each day. The property owner was very responsive and accomoodating. Would defintely stay here again!

This was my first time with VRBO and my experience was better than anticipated. The house was perfect with ample space-living room, dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, game room. and gorgeous lake view in the back. The beach/sand and playground was a plus! The large deck allowed the adults hangout and and watch the sunset while the kids played and other adults kayaked. The owner was very communicative and offered recommendations for local sightseeing. Secluded for privacy but also near retail/grocery. Less than one hr from Mackinaw City, Torch Lake and only 5 min from Petoskey State Park! If you want to explore Northern MI or just sit back and relax, this house is the perfect setting/location for your family!

The house provided great accommodations for our adult family of 8 people. Very clean, great open floor layout for family, excellent back deck, yard, and beach area on the lake for a beautiful view. We brought kayaks and bikes which provided great options when people when people were at the house in between excursions.

We were able to switch our family vacation destination at the last minute when we found this property near Harbor Springs, MI. The location On Round Lake was perfect and the area had an abundance of outdoor activities to choose from. There were plenty of restaurants and food specialty stores to go along with several small towns that offered plenty of retail shopping. The area is a little pricey though for those on a tighter budget. The house could have been better maintained but comfortable for our entire family.
