We were in town 7/2-7/6 for work. Our whole family worked a concession stand in creede and we were so thankful to have a great place to rest in our off time. The happy place cabin was so nice and clean and well stocked. It was in a great location right next to rail bikes and had four bikes to ride around the land. It was so beautiful. We used the grill to cookout the last night we were there and it worked great. Plenty of laundry pods were left to wash a few loads, dish soap, hand soap and lots of dishes. Outside was a very handy fire pit with firewood. We left some mosquito spray for the next tenants because they will get cha lol. We had a great experience and hope to return next year as we are around every summer for this event! Thanks Happly place cabin! We appreciate that you welcomed us with all the necessary items for a comfortable stay!

Our experience at The Happy Place Cabin was perfect for our family of six (plus our dog). The kids loved having the lofts to retreat to at the end of the day. The kitchen and its set up were great. I loved having a second table in the living area. We used it as our game table. The property is well maintained. My kids had never been to Colorado. They are ready to return and have requested to stay in the same cabin.

This clean cabin had everything I could dream of and more. It was well-organized. Little signs everywhere showed how to use the washer and dryer, TV, lights, and more. The kitchen was loaded with handy items: crock pots, toasters, waffle maker, and plenty of cookware and utensils. Basic supplies included salt and pepper, spices, ice, cooking oil, paper towels, dish and laundry soap, and hygiene items. It felt like the owner was very thoughtful about guests' needs.
The ground floor bedroom and two lofts worked well for my family. Just be sure to let people with bad knees or poor balance stay on the ground floor as the loft stairs are steep.
The location at the end of the subdivision made our stay feel private, yet it was close enough to Creede, Wolf Creek Pass, and the San Luis Valley to be the perfect base camp for our adventures.

Nice, quiet location next to the river, however, the house could use some updates. Not at all baby friendly with many hazardous outlets and rigged electrical. Lofts are physically difficult to climb to if you’re older and have nobility issues. There was also a very strong smell of lacquer/polyurethane which took a day or two to dissipate after keeping the house open and ventilated.

We had such a great time at the cabin! This was our second time to stay here. It had everything we needed. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend staying here!

We loved the space, and the fact that we had room to unwind after skiing all day. The house was comfortable and the heat sources were great. The kids enjoyed playing with the sleds and watching the deer each day. We cooked meals and had breakfast before leaving to ski. The kids also loved the games that were furnished in the home. This home is comfortable and clean and great for two families. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Happy cabin.
The only issue we had was dealing with the microwave. It kept tripping the breaker, so we just decided to heat milk and water for hot cocoa on the stove. We were able to warm things in the oven and get around the not being able to use the microwave.
My only other recommendation is to bring paper goods, so you’re not washing a lot of dishes. There is not a dishwasher and for us it was fine.

Loved the outside yard. Since there is such little grass, we REALLY appreciated the nice grass yard. Outdoor area was very neat and tidy and perfect for us and the dogs. Very roomy in the house. Made us feel comfortable and not cramped at all. Lots of hand soap at the sinks but only had one very tiny soap to share for both showers for 5 days. Kind of strange. I would say that had to be the housekeeping staff that did not make sure everything was stocked appropriately. Very friendly and quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.

Great area, lots of wildlife. Cabin needs repairs and appliances need updating. Stair rails were unsafe.

We always enjoy staying here when we ski at Wolf Creek. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the cabin is very clean. We especially appreciate the use of the washer and dryer. The only drawback is that the lofts get very hot from the furnace on the ground floor. We have to use the box fans upstairs for the kids, which we are grateful to have provided in this property. The beds on the front loft could use a mattress upgrade, but all in all it is a very comfortable cabin! The hosts left easily followed instructions for all the features, including Wi-Fi and TV. We will be returning for our next ski trip. Thank you to our property owners and hosts! ☺️

This is a great cabin off the busy roads. It has one bedroom & two bathrooms downstairs. Then 2 lofts with several beds. The kitchen is well stocked & plenty of towels & extra bedding.

Men's ski trip
Our group of 9 guys (late 20s/early 30s) stayed at the lodge while skiing Wolf Creek a short 25 mins away. We cooked our meals 3/4 nights at the cabin with the existing kitchen equipment. The cabin comfortably sleeps 7 men but the couch can be used as another sleeping area and we brought a queen sized blowup mattress that fit in the master bedroom. Overall great stay and the price was great for the area during peak ski season.

Lovely location, cozy cabin
Great location.
Beautiful area, the deer came down in the evening which was fantastic.
Communication was a little difficult. I guess this is run by company, and they didn't want to communicate via the messaging system, and then they were very unclear about whether or not I needed to bring wood for the gas fireplace. FYI the gas fireplace does not require wood, and wood is not provided for the outdoor fire pit.

Definitely a Happy Place!
My wife and I and our border collie absolutely loved this cabin. It was well supplied and in a very quiet neighborhood. Skiing at wolf creek was a short 25-30 minute drive. The 2 gas fireplaces kept the cabin cozy warm when it was in the single digits outside. We can’t wait to come back to stay and enjoy the powder snow and all the outdoor recreation the area has to offer.

Great stay
Easy-to-use app and the place was more than adequate for many more than the 3 of us. Our dog had room to explore and had a great time trying to catch chipmunks. Had friends over after dinner and there was plenty of room. The cleaning fee was high making the overall fee a little more than we would have liked. Still a nice stay.

Dead flies on the kitchen sink window ledge. Hair in tub. Dead cockroach in bathroom. Very unsafe railings in loft and unsafe steep stairs. Pans not clean. Utensils holder dirty.

The Perfect Get-Away
The cabin was perfect for our family of 10! We had plenty of room. The location and scenery were also great. We made a lot of great memories, and we would highly recommend staying at The Happy Place Cabin!

Relaxing, Quiet vacation
We loved our stay at the Happy Cabin. The location was very nice and quiet. The Muledeer came to visit each evening. We enjoyed watching the wildlife each morning and evening. There was plenty of space and so many extras to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful, Quiet, Relaxing
This property was a good base for us to visit Lake City, Creede, and Pagosa Springs. This rustic cabin is at the edge of a subdivision, next to the forest, near the river, yet still an easy 5 minute drive to the South Fork restaurants and stores. We enjoyed watching the rabbit family playing in the yard and the deer strolling by in the late afternoons.

Great stay
Loved the location and the open floor plan. We stayed in May so off-season. Made it very peaceful and quiet. Only negative comment is the kitchen is not well stocked. Had to buy a few things as we cooked all of our meals in the cabin. Everything else was great and we would stay again.

As advertised and then some!
perfect location 45 seconds from the river. Very friendly neighborhood. They have all different sized bike to ride, fire wood for the two firepits outside. Very quite. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Great Cabin
We have stayed here twice and it will always be our "Go To" place to stay in the area. We love that it is dog friendly and close to national forest. The layout of the cabin works out great for our family too.
