However, there was little to no air conditioning upstairs.Refrigerator - broke within 1 day and had to be replaced. We had to leave the house for one day because the agents wouldn't come into the house to replace the refrigerator because of the dogs. I should be reimbursed for this lost day. The cabinet door in the kitchen fell off within one day.The table in the living room was held together with a TIE!!!!!!!. Paint came off one of the dining room chairs and destroyed my guest dress. One of my guests fell to the ground after sitting on an already broken rocking chair on the deck.Steps in the front of the house were broken and extremely dangerous. Outside deck was also damaged.Kitchen was old and dirty.BBQ wouldn't light correctly; it was dirty and caked with grease.Master bedroom mirrors were old and stained. Kitchen and dining room tables were damaged. Beach chairs old and rusted.Each room had some damage.I have nothing good to say about the condition of this property. As the agent I can't believe you would allow such a deplorable house as a rental. You have standards and a reputation to keep, and this rental brought it down. I can say one very small thing I was reimbursed for lost food.I will NEVER recommend this house or agent to anyone.

First the positives, good location, good views, plenty of towels which smelled freshly laundered, plenty of space (you get physical keys and only 3) and ample kitchen utensils. East Island was easy to work with. Ultimately, we just couldn't get over the condition of the home and its cleanliness. The home has an intercom system that was made between 1984-1994 and a trash compactor and it feels like that was the last time the home was really updated. One of the foyer closet doors can't open because the tile is raised up and the other one didn't open because the ball stop was stuck. One bedroom has the closet door ripped off. Two of the cabinet doors in kitchen are ripped off the hinges and barely hanging on - the did acknowledge it's been on their handy-man's to do list. The icemaker in the freezer is falling apart. One of the coffee makers looks like it has white mold in the bottom of it. The exterior of the home shows signs of higher-than-average wear and lack of upkeep: overgrown vegetation growing up through the decks, rust, mold, etc. Upon arrival we immediately noticed old cobwebs and new spider webs all over above the kitchen table and out into the dining and living space. I spent the first hour sweeping these up along with numerous spiders. the wood table in the dining area adjacent to the living space is sticky to the touch. Some amount of bugs are normal in a beach house, but this was well out of the norm. Consequently, I spent the first 2-3 hours in the home washing everything in the kitchen since I now did not have the confidence than any of the dishes, pots, pans, etc. had actually been washed. As noted the towels smelled clean, but the bedding smelled old and dusty. I can't say it wasn't washed, but it didn't smell fresh. You are asked to place all towels in the foyer upon checkout, you are not asked to the same with the sheets. I'd personally feel better if I was asked to. We won't rent this home again

Front step railing missing, several cabinet doors fell off, 2 closet doors not functional,needs painting inside and out,walkway to beach in dangerous condition, a lot of furniture is in poor shape, needed inside step repaired, mold on outside steps and decks,nails protuding where feeble attempt to replace decking. The only things that saved our vacation was the location(it is terrific) and East Islands Rentals pompt response to the many problms with the house. Would never recommend or return until major improvements were made.

We loved the house and it was a perfect for my extended family while attending a wedding at Wild Dunes. The house had some general maintenance issues. Also please be aware of the many steps inside the house. Overall the house was fantastic and we would love to stay there again!

The place could use some maintenance...there are many loose boards on the decks and outdoor stairs. The pop up vent behind the cooktop is disgustingly dirty and has no filters. I believe this has been reported in other reviews and no action had been taken on that before our stay. We were disappointed to find that there were only 8 forks in the house which was not sufficient for our group. We ended up purchasing additional flatware which was cheaper than doing plastic and quicker than reaching out to the management company and waiting for them to bring more, so there are plenty now. The propane tank ran out of gas while cooking one of our meals. Again, no time to get a fresh one from management as we were in the middle of cooking. So, we finished the cooking inside. No gauge on the tank that would let us know it was low. I feel like these are things that should be checked by management prior to the next occupants coming in. There are many levels inside the home and to get into the house which is pretty, but if you have elderly people or people that are not as mobile, you should think about that before renting.

We enjoyed staying at this beach house. Accommodations were good and location was perfect. The property managers were very attentive and addressed the few issues we had very quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

House is an older structure with lots of character and steps. Very clean. Part of the home has been updated, but the main floor bathrooms desperately need updates. Overall, though, great house!

Good home for a large family vacation. We had 13 people, including 3 younger kids. The rooms and sleeping accommodations worked great for us. We particularly enjoyed the large living space and the screened porch.

We loved the house, but it needs a little TLC and updating. Very clean, incredible layout, awesome views!

While not totally modern, it is still perfect. It had EVERYTHING we needed- we loved it and plan to rebook it. We have zero complaints- oh and it was pet friendly which made it even more perfecr.
