It was beautiful. Staff was great. Great pool. As long as you pay more to stay in a room with two full beds.

We were in end unit could hear dog barking and vehicles. A smell came through the air conditioner every night.

Our room was in the front and overlooked the community soccer field .Nightly activities were very noisy but all stopped at 10:30.

The pool was great. The front desk person was very friendly. It was walking distance to the beach and the town.

The air conditioning was leaking water.

We got a room with a balcony which was comfy, the pool was great and the drinks good as well. Check in was easy and the staff as nice as they could be, although more could have been done about the situation we were facing with the safety of their hotel. It was also beautifully located, a few steps from the beach; though this location may have contributed to the increase in risk for the balcony situation.

We paid for an upgrade to a room with a balcony but ended up regretting it horribly. Twice during our stay, things left to dry were stolen off of the 2nd floor balcony (room 39), as we were in the room! They didn't comp our bill, give us a consolation drink or anything for our negative experience. Worse, during our stay, the next door room was also burglarized with their balcony facing the street also. No notice was given upon check in regarding the extreme potential for theft. To reach the balcony, one would have to do some walking on roofs or some gymnastics. Never leave stuff to dry on the balcony (laundry), even if you're in the room. Always lock the balcony door. If possible, don't pay for that unnecessary upgrade since you'll be throwing money away for an unusable feature. The room could have benefited from having a set of drawers or other furniture such as night tables, it felt a bit awkward to find places to put our stuff for a 2-week stay. The breakfast is fine but overpriced, and becomes very sad and redundant if you stay for more than a week. I'm sure I would have loved my stay more without the unusable balcony and the negative experiences attached to it. I just wish the owner and others at the hotel would have gone the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable after this. They did assist with translating to the cops what happened and wrote a letter for insurance, but when asked if we could get out of the mandatory breakfast fee we weren't enjoying anymore, they weren't receptive at all and didn't accommodate us.

The pool is amazing, very large. Very comfortable pool lounges. Good restaurant. Okay, the room. We were happy to book a budget room with 2 single beds, but the beds take up 90 percent of the room. It wasn't a problem, tho. The hotel has a very large lounge area around the pool and restaurant, and we were not in the room much, so it wasn't a huge issue. If you tend to stay in the room, don't book the budget room. The beds were very comfortable, good AC, hot water mini fridge. Breakfast was good. The location is excellent.

I felt like I slept in a closet of a nightclub I couldn’t hear my own device. The walls where so thin it shook every time my drunk neighbour made is way to the bathroom. Finally I was awakened way to early by the neighbouring rooster 😒

Staff was hit or miss with helpfulness. First morning we were told was that we didn’t get breakfast included which was a lie. Water pressure from shower was non existent.

The pool is very nice, perhaps the best we experienced on this trip. The bird serenade in the morning is wonderful. The staff is efficient, some very friendly, others a bit standoffish, but certainly not unfriendly. The location is convenient to the beach, a short 1 block walk, and the "downtown area (the shops, restaurants, and bars) was about the same distance in another. A soccer ("futbol") field is directly opposite the main entrance, which seemed to have a lot of soccer action in the 3 days we were there. The 4 included breakfast choices were good, with the fruit being the best. The facility was clean. There is an onsite mini-store open whenever the main lobby is open (7am-11pm??). Nice free pool table with good cues, etc. right near the bar and swimming pool (the night bar manager Randall is a worthy opponent;').

The bait-and-switch with mandatory upsell for the room: we reserved a "Double Room with Balcony" and arriving from our very nice room in Jaco we expected something far better than what we were shown (I'll add a picture of our cell below). The charge was MORE than we paid in Jaco, but a substantially poorer room, with a balcony that overlooked a red tin roof with the pool visible beyond. No views of the beach or mountains. We were charged $67.80 to upgrade to a king-sized bed in a room down the hall, with 2 unopening windows, from one of which the soccer field was visible and the other we could see the beach area (I'll post a picture of that as well). The airconditioner in the 2nd room worked poorly but did get the temperature down well enough so we were comfortable at night. Nothing about the room was particularly bad, but there was also nothing about it to make us spend any time there except to sleep, shower, and dress.

Location was great, only a block from the beach. Breakfast was acceptable. My sister could not have any gluten and she was able to substitute for her diet. Staff went above and beyond to answer questions and provide any help that was needed.

Hot water, fridge & microwave in room, centrally located only a few steps from the beach and main strip. There’s a pool and pool table, a variety of weekly activities, wifi throughout, and the overall space is clean and comfortable. Pool area is nice.

The windows in the standard room didnt open leaving the synthetic air fresheners that are sprayed during cleaning lurking in the air.
