Loved the balcony and visiting magpie family

We did find lots of bugs attracted to the lights inside We wanted the door open but as there was no screen doo, we ended infested with insects and had to ever clean the toaster before use as dead insects fell in there after spraying.

A new frypan would be good and a shelf to put toiletries in the shower.

Felt like we were way out in the bush, but only 10 minutes from town. Place was clean and tidy, well set out and had everything we needed.

The location was relatively convenient to the cafes and shopping. It was quiet and secluded. Bed was soft and the couch comfortable. Everything was modern and in excellent condition.

Storage space was limited and no shelving in the shower.

Very difficult to find even with a GPS. We had to ask several locals for help. There was no one to greet us & the contact phone number did not answer. We had no code for the key box so I had to ring Bookings.com in Singapore to get it. The key box was very difficult to open & when it did, we couldn't put it back together. Neighbours said that Brett was probably overseas, so it was a waste of time trying to contact him. The property was poorly maintained, especially externally (cobwebs, leaves etc) & NOT up to reasonable expectations.

The bed slats needed to be reinstated in the bed - they had come loose.

I love that this property is not located in a busy area, so you can get lots of privacy and it was very quiet at night for getting a good sleep. The cabin was very cosy and got all the facilities you would ever need.

The internet was too slow to load anything on TV 😅but I feel like that's just how it goes on KI.

Great value for money. The cabin had everything we needed. Brett was very easy to deal with and made us feel very welcome.

We didn’t get the key code until our arrival time, when we had no signal or wi-fi to receive it. Needs to be sent much earlier.. The access road is getting a bit tricky - especially after the water tanker came. Th bathroom mosquito screen was on the ground - a pain if you want to ventilate during / after showering -but this was swiftly fixed when thy were made aware.

Had everything we needed

Nothing because of its condition. If an effort was made this property could be very nice as a holiday base.

The property was dirty both inside and out. in fact it needs a good spring clean all over. I am not sure how it has scored such good reviews previously, so are these true and honest.

Modern well-equipped cabin with very comfortable bed. Less than a 10 minute drive from Kingscote. Brett was friendly and accommodating.

Would be nice to have check in instructions prior to arrival, and a heads up that there’s a dog on the property.

Brett is a legend. The place was very clean and tidy. We loved our stay.
