Richard made us more than welcome in his lovely, stylish home, perfectly situated close to Ventnor town and seafront, as well as the coastal walks we love. Our large, cool and airy room was well-appointed and our stay was made special with a beautiful homemade cake and fresh milk for coffee and tea, found in the mini fridge. Breakfast was fabulous; cooked to order with some interesting suggestions! We felt like valued guests and our whole experience was first rate from start to finish.

Great host, made us feel very welcome, offered to go out of his way to ensure that we saw as much of the island as possible. Great breakfast, lovely situated building, quiet and a nice town to explore. There were some delights in the room on arrival that were unexpected and yet very welcome.

Not much. If anything, the bathroom was very small albeit well-equipped.

The property was located on a cliff overlooking Ventnor bay with lovely views. The house was furnished beautifully. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly and provided lost of useful information on where to eat and visit. Breakfast was lovely and the choice was literally "what would you like and I will cook it" The room also had a wide choice of hot drinks and cold beverages from a fridge, a home made cake and even a glass of sherry if you fancy it!

We were in the rear room so didn't have the sea view but the view was not unpleasant.

Breakfast was excellent with really fresh fruit salads and well presented and delicious eggs bacon & sausage. Set us up for the day. Our host prepared and cooked our breakfast himself each morning. Richard is a mine of information and always ready to help and recommend places to visit and where to go for a good meal.Saying that though some of the good restaurants were not open during our visit. Would recommend as the rooms are clean with king size beds and a nice shower cubical. Wonderful sea view as well. This is a very nice property. Richard has a close eye for detail.

Richard and Iain were wonderful hosts. Ventnor Bay House is in an ideal location with easy access to the town and the beach.

Beautiful house with one room overlooking the sea . Was able to park the car right outside . The room was exceptional. Fabulous quality bed with beautiful furniture. Breakfast was superb ! we felt right at home with fresh fruit salad , fresh orange juice and good quality cooked breakfast. I’m gluten and dairy free which was catered for with no hesitation whatsoever. Richard with his helper Ian we’re just so kind and considerate. We felt like old friends right away !

If I had to find fault and it’s hard too I promise ! Possibly better quality toiletries in the bathroom. .. what was there was perfectly functional .

Wonderful breakfast and nothing was to much trouble. Lovely rooms with big comfy beds and lots of little extras. Richard was a great host.

The property was located in a beautiful, quiet sea view setting. Traditional high ceiling rooms with fireplaces in many of them. Lovely garden with raised decking where you can sit and relax looking out to sea. This is a five star stay.

Exceptional attention to detail, stunning property in perfect location with off-road parking, beautiful large room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. We really hit the jackpot booking this place and Richard is a wonderfully welcoming host. Would recommend to anyone visiting the IoW.

Fabulous B&B . Richard was an absolute star and looked after us wonderfully well. Breakfast was first class, room beautifully furnished and equipped and bed super comfy . Little touches made all the difference, fruit,cake and even sherry in the room! A short walk from the beach. Perfect.

We didn't realise that it would have been wise to book local restaurants before we arrived. The good ones get booked up!

Richard, the owner, was a delight! He could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. He was very helpful with information, too. The house is stunning - beautifully furnished and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised to see a decanter of sherry, a cake and a bowl of fruit on the table in our room, as well as coffee, tea, a mini-fridge with milk and a selection of drinks. The bed was exceptional - l likened it to sleeping in clouds! Soft, white, fluffy ones! I can't comment on the breakfast as we never eat it (much to Richard's consternation!) but it smelled divine! I can't recommend highly enough. It is in an excellent position and an easy walk to everything - beach, shops, restaurants.

Richard and Sam welcomed as with open arms. The room was vey well appointed and the additional touches of fruit, house blend tea, cake and sherry were delicious. And the breakfast was splendid, as well as the conversation.

The foul weather! But, Richard can't do anything about that. And the room made up for it.
