Lovely lovely family operating the place. The premises are very basic but clean and practical. The whole family is very very charming, serviable and hard working. Food being served very late by the son and the grandmother, breakfast by the same grandmother and her children.
Not much! It is on a main road in the middle of almost nowhere, yet a very lively place. Perhaps a fridge and air conditioning would be a plus.

Lovely personal service from the family that owns this place. I had a lovely visit thanks to them.
Unfortunately I arrived before the pool had opened for the year and the instructions for how to get there from the Camino can be improved as Carrás actually don’t have a sign from the Camino.
I suggest say: Turn right at Km 24,119 and then straight down to the main road where you can cross throw a tunnel and then turn right. Continue up the main road passing a Tres Tapas place before you’ll find the hotel.

We were doing El Camino from A Coruña. Crossing the avenue can be tricky for pedestrians

Very nice room towards the garden with peace and pretty view of green. Very friendly and patient staff and great food. Good internet.
Everything was great except the fan in the bathroom always came on with the light and staid on for ages. You could also hear the screeching of restaurant chairs above from time to time.

What a lovely hostal. No frills but a good honest, warm welcome with good home cooked food. Caring family run place who always have a smile and friendly word and although we would use Spanish they were also always helping with some English.
So helpful and a perfect place to stop when on the Camino Inglés even if slightly off the track. Warm rooms. Comfortable beds. Spotless. Great service and staff. Caring and attention to detail. Lots of hot water at all hours (!!) perfect for getting our laundry done (and they offer a laundry service) so perfect if you’re walking on beyond Santiago. Lovely big towels. Very good value for money. Thoroughly recommend.

The concierge was very nice. He made the hotel seem quite secure, since he was there all night and no one can get in unless he buzzes them through the front door. I liked the kitchenette even though it was sparsely equipped. The bed was comfortable and seemed clean. The fan in front of the window helped with the muggy heat (there is no a/c). Spiral staircase is kind of cool - you'll be walking up and down it a lot.
Wi-fi so slow it's unusable. Sticky bannister. Stained ratty towels. The shower is a fabric curtain wrapped around a small square raised slightly off the floor, so the floor will get wet. Located in a terrifying neighborhood - if you drove, get ready to spend another 20 Euros parking your car in a garage, because it WILL get jacked; the further downside is that you have to then walk back from the garage through the scary neighborhood. Loud: when we walked into the room an alarm was going off across the street, children were wailing, and noisy scooters were ripping through the street below. I used earplugs and missed it, but a fire alarm went off in the hotel itself in the middle of the night. Given all this, we didn't get a deal on the price. For another 20 Euros you can get a 4-star apartment in Lyon.

Great layout and easy to find. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was brilliant.
It would have been nice to know there was 2 parties happening. We are not against anyone having fun, but as we were completing the Camino walk, after a long day walking….needed to sleep! Kids party finished at 12; then staff moving chairs (scraping across the floor above our room) until after 1am. 🤨 This would have helped us decide whether it was the right hotel.

Very friendly and nice landlord(nes)- who speak english ;)
Our gps send us in a very wrong direction, but the she helped us in the late evening - and waited for us before closing the reception (at 23 o’clock).
Nice quiet hotel with friendly staff - and very good priced rooms.
Be aware that google maps might show the wrong way to an adress south of santiago de compostella.
