The location, the breakfast and the host hospitality.
The breakfast is relatively rich when you compare to other places in France. As well the waiter prepared scrambled eggs for us and she was always renewing anything that was missing.
No lift so you need to climb up 2 floors (in our case) with your luggage.
The floow of our room was uneven.
The bathroom doesn't look good and there was no option to hang the douch in the shower.

The hotel is in a calm, safe location, about 600 metres from the centre of Montignac. With good car parking and a pleasant garden and terrace.
The new proprietors are good hosts and make their guests welcome, very responsive to individual requests.
The dinner provided to me, and two guests, was exceptional, without question the best cuisine available in Montignac at present (having lived there previously).
Nothing - I shall certainly stay here again.

We booked last minute and wasn’t disappointed, from the moment we got there the lady could not have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We ended up having our evening meal there and the food was fabulous! We had an excellent evening, we would highly recommend this hotel and the food there!

The staff welcomed us like family. The breakfast was excellent. It had plenty for two cyclists. They also stored our bags while we toured Lascaux 2. This was very much appreciated.

The hotel appearance on arrival was shabby. It had the feel of end of season closure. The room was okay in size. The shower cubicle was smelly due to poor cleaning standards in particular under a wooden grill that was inside the shower base. Mould was evident around the shower base. The toilet was not properly fixed to the floor and wobbled when sat upon. The sink had toothpaste spit in the basin I cleaned.

Great location and very nice staff.
When trucks passed on the road, it felt like the whole building was shaking. Very outdated bathroom with terrible water pressure. Bath towels were like cardboard.

Personnel very nice. Rooms are comfortable, with AC. Breakfast is rich and various. Nice playground for the children and private parking.

A wonderful place near the prehistoric caves, very lovingly furnished and looked after by two very caring and attentive hosts! Thank you very much and I would love to come back!

Charming place with nice atmosphere. The new owners have just taken over the place, they are very nice and helpful. And they will open the restaurant again (was closed right now). Good parking place. Fine breakfast. The AC was very effective.

Coming home late from a wedding there didn't seem any sign of any food places that may be open. Perhaps a little more information about very local places or the ability to order some light bites out of hours at the bar.

The hotel was conveniently located near town. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations and during this slow season when many restaurants were closed for the holiday. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator so it was a little challenging to get up the stairs but it was very quite which is what we asked for.

The bed was very comfortable, which is the most important thing. It was easy to walk into Montignac. We were greeted warmly, service was good.
The shower was a little old fashioned, its very dark in the shower cubicle, however the water was hot. Overall the hotel is in need of updating and decoration. Wardrobes, draw units don't really function. It is this price because of where it is, but compared to everywhere else we stayed on our trip, it needs some attention. Wifi didn't work in our room.

We didn't partake in the breakfast so cannot make a comment on it. We found the hotel a little walk to all the restaurants, etc., but most probably it wouldn't be a problem for someone younger.
We arrived at the hotel at lunch time and would have liked to have had a snack, but was told by the receptionist that he was the only one there at the time so he couldn't oblige.
